Plazita Mexico Cafe blew me away. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. I ordered the molcajete and it was *to die for*. Rich, sizzling, packed with flavor, and served in that piping hot stone bowl that keeps the goodness going the whole meal. If you’ve never had one before, this is the place to try it. If you have, this one sets the bar.

It’s honestly big enough to share with two to four people depending on how hungry you are. That said, I didn’t share. My wife had a quesadilla that was also incredible, which was a blessing in disguise. Otherwise I might have had to split mine haha wink wink.

I absolutely smashed the whole thing and enjoyed every bite. Worth every penny. The food, the flavor, the portion size, the service, it all hits. If you’re anywhere near Tucson, Plazita Mexico Cafe is 100 percent worth the stop. I’d come back just for that molcajete.

Plazita Mexico Café is a solid find. Got the chilaquiles with rice and beans and everything was on point. I’m usually picky about rice and beans but these were great. Pancakes were good too. Chips and salsa were fresh and the horchata was really good, definitely get it if you go. Place was clean and the staff was friendly. Will be back.

A friend recommended this restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast of ham and eggs. Servers were friendly and our meal came very quickly. I highly recommend Placita Cafe on Sarnoff. We plan to return with friends for dinner in the near future.

We go here almost every weekend and the food never disappoints! Anything on the menu is available for breakfast…I suggest the Chicken Albondigas! My hunny had the breakfast tacos with a bean tostada and I had the chicken albondigas and tostada. They have menudo both red and white and awesome! The servers are so friendly, you feel you’ve known them for years. Go try it!

A wonderful breakfast! I HAD THE tamale breakfast with 2 eggs, beans and tortillas. The tortillas were amazing! Our server was so pleasant and prompt. I highly recommend it, but it is a small place and on Sunday it was really busy!

Had chicken tacos on Tuesday ($$1.50 ea!) . So good. Chip and salsa first round free. Very yummy and very kind people working there. I love patronizing Mom and Pop businesses.

Been wanting to check out this little Cafe for awhile now, and so glad we finally stopped in. After 11am they start you off with a free basket of warm chips and salsa. So good!

We decided on the Green Chile & Cheese (4 egg) omelet with home fries and grilled peppers and the Mexi Omelet with 4 “small” (according to the menu) pancakes. Everything was so good…especially the pancakes.

The waiter (who’s name I forgot to ask) was super attentive and provided amazing service.

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking out this locally owned gem.
