Walking in, the location is very clean and friendly. I love the atmosphere here. Hands down 10/10. The prices of the coffee are your typical pricing. You are greeted with a sign to download the mobile app for a discount. The app is very easy to use.
After ordering, I would suggest to let them know when you arrive. Even though the app does not state for you to check in, and it gives you a time for pick up. After 5 minutes after the pick up time, I finally said something. There was only one girl working. She was taking care of both the drive through AND inside. She did great for everything she was doing. The only complaint towards her I had was maybe checking in with us. She assumed we were just waiting for someone or something. However, being short staffed was not her fault. Maybe there’s another worker, but they weren’t present. So I felt bad. Customer service is a big deal for me. Definitely a make or break in my reviews.
I may try this one more time. So I can give a clear straight review. As for the coffee, I got the cold brew wedding cake. It was delicious.

01/04/2026: We returned to Lake Charles for New Year’s with family and had to come to PJ’s! We were greeted by Cara and Vivian. They made us feel right at home. We got cafe au laits and a wonderfully steamed egg and cheese croissant. We chatted around drive through customers and had the best time. We will go back one more time before leaving for Oklahoma.
2024: We were greeted by Alaina when we walked in. We got 3 orders of beignets and 2 cafe au laits and 1 hot tea. Very welcoming staff. We went back a total of 3 times in 4 days. Each visit we received the same cheerful greeting. They treated us like family. I even took an order to my sister in a nursing home. She was so surprised. They also have a drive through.

The reviews aren’t that high but we tried PJs anyway. Honestly, there’s some good parts and others that are meh. The staff were friendly and quick, at least in the Sunday afternoon that we went. It wasn’t packed but there were still people there and had a nice atmosphere. We got the caramel granita which was alright. Coming from Canada, it’s like an Iced Cap from Timmie’s but more watered down. The prices are on the mid to high end. I’d say if you’re in a pinch it’s not bad but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way for it.

I have been to the location in Crowley and Lafayette and they were great. This location however was not good. I always order the praline Chai latte, I did the same at this location. They gave me some type of coffee I handed it back and told the worker it wasn’t correct. She then took the drink added praline flavoring to the coffee and gave it back to me. If I pay 6 dollars for a drink I expect it to atleast be the correct drink.

Bought two large coffees at the drive thru. Both were room temperature 30 seconds after getting them. Also, we were the only customers yet it took 12 to 15 minutes to get our order. Perhaps they made them and then put them aside to take a bathroom break. Will go someplace else in the future.

It’s been an incredibly long day for me and my household so my mom got us all coffees. I carried them to my car and dropped one of them. I went back inside fully prepared to pay for a new one and the sweet lady said no charge. Made my day!

As a longtime PJ’s Coffee enthusiast and former employee of two locations, I have to say this one is one of my favs. I always appreciate the warm “Welcome in” and friendly smiles. The cafe is clean, the service is consistently great, and the owners are lovely. The drinks and food are delicious, and I appreciate the little things like coasters. The music is chill and the seating is comfortable, perfect for getting assignments done in peace. It’s worth the drive across town – a solid 10/10.

Ordered ahead and arrived a few minutes after when the site said it would be ready and it wasn’t ready, so I had to wait. The ticket hasn’t been pulled off the printer until I asked for my order. The seasonal coffee I ordered was supposed to come with cold foam already, had to ask for it. Ordered 2 stuffed biscuits and got a different flavor than I ordered.
