We had just gotten off the beach and were in the mood for seafood. The place is small, but the food was very good. The lobster roll, animal style was really good. The air fried flounder and the crab cake all were good. The lobster bisque and the Mac and cheese was also very good. The young staff work very hard. No desserts available. We will return another time.

We recently visited PJ Buckets in Atlantic City and absolutely loved it! This place serves the best seafood we’ve had in a while—everything was fresh and incredibly affordable.
We particularly enjoyed the clam chowder and shrimp, both of which were delicious. The service was quick, and the staff were amazing, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, perfect for a laid-back meal. If you’re looking for great seafood at a great price, PJ Buckets is the place to go!

This place was a joke. The boil sauce was literally just seasoned water—no flavor, just a watery mess with floating garlic. Our order was supposed to come with corn and potatoes—didn’t get either. Nor did we get the second sauce we ordered.. Or the cornbread or roll where it specifically says “all boils include homemade cornbread or roll”
me and my friend both have horrible stomach aches from the food. the crab was way over cooked. To top it off, our server forgot our cocktail sauce and never once checked on us. Terrible service, bland food, and a waste of money. Never again.

Chef Ramsey would be mortified
We wanted seafood while vacationing in Ac. We eat so much seafood many think we are pescatarians. In other words we know a thing or two about seafood.
Where do I start.
The seafood-
Not fresh. When you buy seafood you want it fresh. This was not fresh. That In itself is a tragedy. The scallops were hard and overcooked. Gordon Ramsey would have fired every chef. The blue crab was like mash potatoes. Supermarket snow crab would have been better by a long shot. The shrimp were small, LOW QUALITY and we were given 12 between four meals…….UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!
Seasoning-
The Louisiana rub burned our top lips for FOUR hours straight. The smell lingered for hours.
The Maryland had no distinguishing flavors besides “butter and water”. Not good.
The onions did not add to the taste and all those potatoes were annoying.
We hated our food. We paid $218. Should have gone to acme. Don’t make the mistake we did.

Let me tell you why you need to get to PJ Buckets. A couple years ago we were in town for a family reunion. A smaller group of us were out and about and stopped in to PJ Buckets, Ventnor location. A couple years go by and we are STILL talking about the quality of the food at this joint. I don’t remember anywhere else we ate on that trip. But we all remember the seafood boils at PJ Buckets. Don’t sleep on this place. Get there, today. And they have shirts. Get yourself a proper T-shirt.

Stopped in for dinner…it was an amazing boil! The place was extremely clean. Staff was so friendly and nice. We loved learning where our food was from (little history lesson). Overall an awesome atmosphere! Anytime we come back to OCNJ we will be back!

Fantastic!! We ordered take out. This is exactly what my family of 6 picky eaters was looking for. We ordered 6 seafood bucket boils, some clams and some sides. The photos look great but don’t do it justice. You The management was also super helpful with accommodating my daughter’s gluten allergy. Really informative and genuine. We will definitely be back.

Amazing Cajun food. The owner was super friendly and gave us great detail on what to order and how the food is made. They don’t have a big seating space inside. We were a group of 6 we sat inside and pretty much took the whole place. We ordered two double boils, got some lobster tail on the side and couple of soups. We tried the spicy Cajun and the new Jersey as the two flavors for the boil. Loved both of them but my favorite was the spicy Cajun as I love spicy food. The crab and shrimp were cooked to perfection. The setting and flavors were very authentic. The lobster tails were also good. The boils come with corn and potatoes and corn bread on the side. The corn bread was really good. Really enjoyed the food and highly recommend this place.

We were in Atlantic City for 4 days and went to a couple different places, looking for good seafood. Even went to the “fancy” steak and seafood restaurant in the resort/casino we stayed at. Was disappointed by all of them. On our last night there we found this place, and i wish we had found it sooner!! The boils were amazingly delicious. And, the service was outstandingly friendly!! The building made us a little skeptical upon arriving, but the inside was clean, and the staff was welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough!!
