Visited Pizza La Rocca and tried two of their vegetarian options.

Margherita Pizza:
This arrived first, and the crust immediately stood out — not in the way I expected. It’s extremely thin, crisp, and snaps apart if you try to pick it up. The staff mentioned it’s a Southern Italian style, which was interesting to learn, but the texture wasn’t my preference. Flavor-wise, it tasted similar to any local pizza chain, nothing particularly memorable.

Vegetariana Pizza:
This followed the same pattern: a very thin, pita-like base with a mix of veggies on top. Unfortunately, it lacked depth of flavor and didn’t feel worth the price.
Portions are on the smaller side, especially considering the higher price point. The ambience is nice, but not enough to justify the cost for me.
Would I return? Probably not. It’s a 3.5/5 for me

They get a little busy so you’ll want to make a reservation. We really liked all the selections on the menu and settled on splitting a pizza. Be sure to check out the salad menu as the Parma salad was absolutely perfect with its zesty flavor. We really liked the pizza sauce in particular, it had a rich flavor that tied everything together. Credit to the owners for creating a really nice ambience inside and even the bathrooms were clean and sparkly new.

Pizzeria La Rocca is a great spot for delicious, authentic pizza with a thin, crispy crust and flavorful toppings. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Service is friendly and attentive, and the pizzas come out hot and fresh. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portion size. Whether you’re grabbing a classic Margherita or something with a bit more spice, La Rocca delivers solid, satisfying pizza that’s worth trying.

Such a great place. The pizza is so good. After a few years I finally made it a point to go back and it’s as good as I remember. The staff is super friendly and helpful, you won’t be disappointed.

We ordered a caprese appetizer and two pizzas. The caprese had canned san marzanos ? I’m used to fresh tomatoes for this appetizer so that was odd. My pizza was cold which was disappointing. Hopefully if we come in again my pizza will be hot. My husband got the margarita and liked it. The pizza crust is almost like a crispy pita texture and taste so if you are looking for a more doughy crust, just not that that’s not what they serve here. Not to say just not yummy, just unexpected.

My friends had a fantastic experience here. From the food to the wine to the amazing service from our waitress Lana, we left feeling full and satisfied! We started with the meatballs which were fantastic. For entrees the pasta Angeli and creamy pesto were great, but the pasta boscaoila was the highlight. The garlic bread which came with all the pasta had us talking about it for days, bursting with butter and flavor. The tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had an huge enough to share amongst four. We will definitely be back when in town!

We walked past La Rocca weekly, always curious, and after a 40-mile bike ride that left us ravenous, we finally made our move. We walked in ready to inhale anything with cheese and carbs, and honestly, we could’ve polished off two pizzas without blinking. We ordered the Quattro Stagioni, expecting a harmonious blend of toppings. What arrived was a surprise. Instead of the usual mix, each quarter of the pizza had its own distinct topping, like four mini pizzas sharing a crust but refusing to mingle. It was visually striking, definitely different, and not quite what we were craving but still delicious to say the least cause we polished it off as usual. That said, the crust was beautifully done, the ingredients fresh!

We also tried the Parma Salad, which sadly wasn’t our fav. Bland arugula, a few cherry tomatoes, but had lotsa shaved parmesan and the prosciutto reminded me of just a couple slices of lunchmeat. It was weird because the same meat was on the pizza and it tasted different. I would give another try on their salad on our next visit.

But then came the house wine, it was smooth, balanced, and the perfect companion to our pizza. It brought everything together in a way the salad couldn’t, and honestly, it might’ve saved the meal from becoming a post-ride tragedy.

I loved vibe inside warm and welcoming. It’s clear they care about quality and tradition. The umbrellas on the ceiling were my favorite and decor was fun to look at.

We’ll be back (probably hungry again), but next time we’ll go for something a little more unified. Maybe the Margherita or Capricciosa. I can see why they won the Seattle times best pizza place in 2024.

Best tiramisu I’ve ever had! Pasta was delicious too. The interior decorations are nice to look at and the service was very warm and kind. Will be coming here again!

There is no way this is even close to the best pizza in Seattle it was honestly terrible. Margherita had a bunch of not fresh mozzarella dumped on it and the tomato sauce was flavorless. The Crust was awful and tasted like Pillsbury pastry dough. Service was good but the pizza taste is worse than round table and about the same as dominoes

Fantastic, fresh, and authentic Italian fare. Pizzas are huge- enough for 2. The appetizer could have been its own meal. It’s probably best to make a reservation for a weekend visit as all tables were full on a Saturday at 5pm. 4 stars for atmosphere only because it got a little loud, but didn’t take away from the experience. Highly recommend!
