.Standard experience, unnecessary hype
As someone who has dined at hundreds of pizzerias across Italy and worldwide, I always start with the Margherita. It’s the foundation of any great pizza, but unfortunately, it didn’t impress here.
The Food: The pizza was mediocre. The pizza dough lacked the texture and airiness expected from such a highly-rated spot. The flavors were very standard—nothing justifies the current hype.
The Atmosphere: The restaurant was extremely noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal. Service was functional and straightforward, but nothing more.
Bottom Line: The pricing is reasonable for what you get, but the experience is strictly average. If you’re looking for an extraordinary pizzeria worth a special trip, this isn’t it. Fine if you’re nearby, but not a culinary destination.
Pro Tip: If you are in Verona and looking for a much better alternative in the same price range, I highly recommend Leon d’Oro. The quality and execution there are on a completely different level.

Nice place for pizza in Verona. Cosy and local atmosphere, with a proper wood-fired oven. The pizzas are good and prices are fair — coperto is just €1 per person. Nothing exceptional, but a solid choice if you want a simple, authentic meal without surprises.

The atmosphere is classic italian, the place is buzzing during lunch and dinner hours. The host is very welcoming and the food is excellent. The pizza is exactly how it should be, one of the best i had. I recommend coming in 10 minutes before opening, to be sure to get a table and not wait for one, since the place is popular

Checked out this pizzeria on a friend’s recommendation, and it’s definitely a local favorite. The service was decent, nothing extraordinary, and the place has a casual vibe—no frills. So good. Unbelievable. I have had pizza all over Italy and of course the United States. Pizzeria Da Salvatore is as good as any of them. Amazing. Terrific.

So I went back a second time the next day.
Service is good but be careful – it gets full quickly. So my pro tip advice get there as early as possible. Otherwise, it’s mayhem but in a beautiful, locals love this place kind of way.

I wish I could give more stars. This is fantastic place where everything is just like it shoud be:
1) First, food! While I’m not a fan of pizzas, I have to admit that here both classic and special pizzas are not just great, but much better that I have tried till now anywhere else in Italy (we’ve ordered classic with panceta & garganzola and special with bresaola).
2) Staff is fenomenal. This is not just an ordinary family place, but the charm of old great Italy where people still smile!
3) And last but not least – the atmosphere, you just feel home here, the owner is still the kitchen and pets are warmly welcomed!

Delicious pizza! The staff were wonderful and the place was super busy at lunch time. They have both an English and an Italian menu which is helpful for tourists. The entrance was without any steps so that was great for anyone in a mobility device. Tables were very cute! Nice atmosphere.

We had pizza here yesterday and it was absolutely delicious—authentic flavors and great quality. The service was also excellent, very friendly and efficient. The only downside was the atmosphere—it was quite loud, which made it a bit hard to relax. Still, definitely worth a visit for the food and service!
