Fantastic experience at Pizzaiolo Primo! Walked in and grabbed a spot at the bar. Bartender was personable and easy to laugh with. Got the small mixed salad to start and was pleasantly impressed by how fresh and good the salad was! Then got the diavolo pizza to eat on while reading and having another glass of wine. Had the best night, and ended up finishing my pizza as it was also incredibly fresh and delicious. I’m back next week for work and already intend on coming back to try their pasta!

THEE BEST!! I was in Pittsburgh on a work trip and we went here 3 times because it was so good! Alfresco dining, fresh, delicious food, excellent wine and cocktails, great service. We had the stuffed banana peppers, fried mozzarella, salad, cacio e pepe pasta, spicy meatball pizza, and burrata pizza. My favorite combo was a glass of Sicilian rosé, salad, and spicy meatball pizza! But everything was wonderful. If I lived there, I would go every week! Beautiful food that speaks to your soul!

My sister and I came upon this restaurant more by accident while walking a few different squares, but I’m so glad we did! Dawn is a gem! She made my day so much brighter. I was feeling homesick and Dawn was so caring and attentive to both of us. She gave menu recommendations and showed genuine interest. The food was excellent! The entire place was very clean, and I liked the ambience inside. It was around noon, so very busy and the servers had their hands full the entire time. Note: It can feel tight rather quickly if you’re sitting in the center row of tables near the front entrance.

Very authentic Italian near a cool park downtown Pittsburgh. Service was lovely and the food delicious. Great wine selection as well.

A glass of draft Peroni and Funghi pizza…what more could a guy ask for! Super friendly service and nice front patio seating with great Sat afternoon music from the park. My kids don’t know what they are missing (going for “noodles”) down the street. 🙂 This pic is all that is is left…amazing crust!!!

Got myself a simple pasta dish to carb load for the marathon. The spaghetti with added meat balls was great, but it was cooked al dented the proper way which I am not a fan of in general. The wine, service, vibe is great. I would be back to experiment with the other pasta dishes, pizza, and some apps.

AMAZING food! We started with the peperoni ripieni: banana peppers stuffed with beef, pork, sausage, fresh mozzarella, and marinara – to was to die for! Then we ordered the misticanza salad and diavola pizza: tomatoe sauce, fresh mozzarella, spicy salami, chili pepper, pecorino, and basil. The salad was good but the pizza had me wishing we’d forgotten the salad and just ordered 2 pizzas! We capped it off with a cannoli and espresso martini. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food! Highly recommend!

Food and service were very good. Cozy atmosphere. A bit overpriced, maybe, but it’s an Italian restaurant in a city, so of course.

I went twice while in town, carry-out service was sold and the food was so good, I went back with a co-worker to dine-in. Service was still excellent and they have large doors that allow them to open the entire front of the restaurant and the weather was perfect.
