Going to Minsky’s next time! Couldn’t find anywhere on the order online menu for how big a gluten free pizza is, so drove to the restaurant to place an order to go. My very first question was how big is the gluten free pizza. Young guy at the counter said a Prince. So I proceeded to order two prince size pizzas and one side salad. Waited at the counter watching several young guys “working” goofing off and picking on the guy I ordered with. Took a bit to get the order despite only a few people being in the dining room. Got home to find the gluten free pizza was definitely smaller than a prince and it was burnt on the edges. Disappointed I called only to be met with clearly untrained to speak to the public personnel. The “shift lead” didn’t identify himself until I asked and was told “Castle”. He didn’t apologize at all, just said that’s the size it’s always been “between a mini and a prince” with a completely uncaring flat tone. First I was told the size wrong. Second, we had to take off the edges because they tasted burnt, and third I’d hate to see an actual mini if this is bigger. $37.63 for these two pizzas and a side salad. The middle of the gluten free pizza tasted okay and the regular pizza tasted fine. The side salad was just iceberg lettuce some cheese, fake bacon bits and two pieces of pepperoni. Not bad, not magical either. Go to Minsky’s up the road. More options, great pizza and you definitely get more for your money, all without a crappy attitude from the “shift lead”.
I wanted to see the price of each pizza afterwards since my receipt didn’t have any details, so I created an online order just to see afterwards at home and am including that photo also.

FAMILY OF 10 TURNED AWAY — UNACCEPTABLE.
We chose Pizza Shoppe to celebrate our 3-year-old grandson’s birthday. Instead, a rude employee flatly told us that groups of 8 or more require reservations. Fine — we offered to split into two groups of five. Still refused. The employee said we would “add up to 10” and made us leave.
This happened while the restaurant had maybe three customers inside.
UNBELIEVABLE. Absolutely zero flexibility, zero common sense, and zero care — all on a child’s birthday. It’s no surprise this location is a ghost town.
Nice job, Pizza Shoppe. Way to ruin a 3-year-old boy’s birthday dinner with his family.

I don’t recommend this place. The food has always been good in the past, but this place has gone down hill. The owners need to drug test their workers because the two that I interacted with, Jen who was our server and Castle who was the manager we talked to, were either drunk or high. (Slurring words, stumbling when they walk, and I could smell it on them) I don’t want someone who is intoxicated handling my food. If you absolutely want pizza shoppe I’d recommend one of the other locations, because this one was not a good experience.

I ordered a king-size pepperoni pizza, garlic breadsticks and also a house salad because I was intrigued by their special dressing called “the pink stuff.”
I started with the salad – the pink dressing was quite good, the lettuce was fresh, and it included a good portion of shredded mozzarella. Then I had a few slices of the pizza – it was delicious! I liked the thin, “cracker” crust and it also had a good portion of cheese.
The garlic breadsticks, however, were a little disappointing. I was expecting warm, soft breadsticks, but these were tough and chewy.
Overall, this was a good meal; I saved half the pizza for breakfast this morning and it was still good cold!

The pizza is delish. Salad, mostly good other than the big lettuce stem/core. Ordered online and signed the slip at the counter. Told the order wasn’t ready yet so I sat on the bench. For 20 mins. And made eye contact with someone eventually and they asked if I had an order in. Ummm. Yes. And he said sorry, nobody told him. Kids running the orders and kitchen and register…. Focused on other things and chatting. Frustrating. Then to get the lettuce stem in the salad. Ugh.
But. Pizza was awesome.

Pizza was good. I felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. My wife had a full salad in a red bowl. I had a side salad I had to ask for after all of our other food arrived. The waitress apologized and didn’t charge for the side salad. We also had cheese toast. Yummy. Pizza was great even leftover the next day.

I always enjoy eating at Pizza Shoppe.
This local pizza chain is a must try.
I love their pizza and salad with their special pink ranch.
I love their weekday lunch specials.
The prices are affordable. The service is pretty quick. I never had an issue with the crowd.

We’ve always loved Pizza Shoppe Pizza but very disappointed today. We called order in, and husbands picked up. I have never seen a crust so thin. It seriously was like paper thin. It was like it didn’t even exist. It was burnt all around the edges. For $45, 2 Queen pizzas and 2 salads. Way over priced for what we received and a waste of time driving from Gardner to Olathe.

I’ve stopped by this location a few times now when I’ve been in town. Every time, the food has been just so-so and the service is less than welcoming. It’s disappointing and I won’t return.
