My hubby is not a very adventurous eater but tonight he let me talk him into Pita House in Battle Ground. Neither of us had had Mediterranean food before and we loved it!! My husband asked if we can come back tomorrow and try the Gyro We split the Garlic Lemon Chicken entree which came with a hummus plate, pita bread, rice, tzatziki sauce and their house salad which is cucumber, onion and tomatoes and we got 1 lamb skewer. First off we couldn’t finish everything and took food home! Secondly it was literally some of the best food we’ve ever eaten! The meat was juicy and so full of flavor, the pita was hot and the hummus was some of the best we’ve had and the rice is addicting! Thirdly the service was absolutely amazing, who I’m assuming was the owner and his daughter were so incredibly friendly and personable!! We ended the dinner with pistachio baklava and Turkish coffee which was also delicious! Can’t recommend this place enough! (Sorry, forgot to take a pic of the lamb skewer before we dug in lol but it had 8 large pieces of lamb on it)

Where to start..
We got the Gyro Salad, Lamb and chicken special, with Turkish coffee and baklavas. The pita bread and hummus was the best I’ve ever had. All our plates were amazing. The walnut and pistachio baklavas were the best we’ve ever had. The service was outstanding. We felt like we were at a 5 star restaurant by how we were treated. The Turkish coffee was fresh and so tasteful. The owner was incredibly nice, super fun, and the woman working was the same way- the type of people who lite up the whole room! We live in Oregon but came again because my husband remembered the service he had 6 years ago, and it was the same today as it was then. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. The price is affordable, the bathrooms are clean, food is great, everything was just.. excellent. We would love to visit again. Thank you for having us!

It was an incredible experience. I had my first taste of Turkish food and coffee, and it was fantastic. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered a cups of coffee by refill 3 times which I thought would keep me awake for days, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I could sleep like a baby!

I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Never had much middle eastern food prior to this and was pleasantly surprised. The food is delicious and not in a slap you in the face way a lot of the food is now. There are more subtle undertones from the chicken and pita bread. But the fruit was a surprise, very juicy and fresh seasoned well and was delectable when combined with the chicken and rice from my shawarma.
Look forward to eating here again sometime.

First time ever going here, and let me tell you – From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we walked out smiling, it was nothing short from a phenomenal experience.

The food was absolutely delicious, the Turkish coffee was sooooo good (also a first for us) and the pistachio baklava was absolutely AMAZING.

The best part of the experience though was the service!! Probably the BEST table service I’ve ever had in my life, no joke… and being 47 years old I’ve been around the block a few times.

We’ll definitely be coming back, and I’ll definitely be recommending to everyone I know!!

Thank you Pita House for the amazing experience!!

Fast, attentive service. Clean tables, comfortable setting. Excellent food and presentation, though all dishes were served on plastic plates. The (owner/manager?) was very attentive to every single person in the restaurant, and generous with dessert.
The price was very reasonable for the quality of the food, we will definitely be back.

What a wonderful restaurant! The host (manager, owner, I’m not sure) was quick and attentive but definitely knew what he was doing. While waiting for my takeout, I watched him greet every customer by name and genuinely connect with each one. The food was perfect, came out quickly, and will make me return to try more.

When we have out of town guests or clients that we want to impress, this is the place we take them to. Past the unassuming exterior is the door that transports you into a relaxing atmosphere where you are immediately greeted like an honored guest. The place is always busy, but immaculately clean. While this is always nice, it pales in comparison to what really makes this place shine- the food and service. No other restaurant comes close to the consistent excellence in it’s delivery of each and every dish that comes out. The menu is not huge, but there is not a dish not worth ordering. My personal favorites are the lemon garlic chicken, the Shish Kabob platter, and the Kofta. The lunch special is also a nice and quick that pleases the palate and the wallet.
The owner is fantastic and really cares about the place, and it’s truly a gem of the community. Tina, our favorite server is fun and attentive – never an empty glass or basket of pita at the table – SO PROFESSIONAL.

Pro tip: For a little humor, ask to upgrade your water to holy water and wait for it.

I am Greek & Armenian & originally from the east coast. I grew up, arguably, having some of the best Greek/Middle Eastern food at my fingertips and in my mouth! Not only at home with Mom, Yiayia and Thia’s, but, from multiple restaurants and food carts. You just can’t beat New York’s ethnic food scene.
That is why, in my 36 years of living in the PNW, I was slightly nervous about eating a gyros at the Pita House. Even with the high ratings, I have found most of my experiences in WA state with Greek food has been a sad disappointment. I didn’t want that to happen again.

It didn’t.

The restaurant kind of reminded me of the SNL skit with John Belushi and Dan Akroyd, “Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!” (If you know, you know! For you youngsters, find it on YouTube for a good laugh.)
Dive vibes, but clean, with the anticipation of some new, wondrous gastronomical experience just waiting to happen! I felt right at home!
The waitress was a delightful young lady. We ordered two lamb gyro with garlic fries. (Pony up for the extra meat add on. It was worth it!) The gyro meat was tender and beautifully spiced and the garlic fries were sublime. Crispy, crunchy and garlicky! The tzatziki was decent. I could have used a bit more garlic in mine, but it complemented the sandwich just fine.
The waiter working along with the waitress was a very friendly fellow, too, and I suspect the owner. We shared with him that it was our anniversary and he brought over two pieces of delicious baklava at the end of our meal. Flakey, buttery phyllo: one with walnuts, one with pistachios. Both divinely delicious! We also ordered two nut rolls to go, and those were also incredibly yummy!
Two thumbs up for the Pita House, their staff and the food. Don’t overlook this hidden gem in Battle Ground! You will leave satisfied.
