Visited Red Barn in Darmstadt recently. The atmosphere was nice, and the overall experience was decent. I ordered a burger, which was generously topped with cheese and tasted good, but I felt the quality of the meat could be improved just a bit of room for improvement there.
The service staff was friendly, but they seemed to be in a rush the whole time. They wanted to get things done quickly, which made us feel a bit hurried.
We also ordered two sides: one with bacon and cheese, which was tasty, and another with fried potatoes, but unfortunately, the potatoes were slightly overcooked and a bit burned.
Overall, a good place, but there are a few areas that could be better.

I really enjoyed the food,the ribs, which were cooked perfectly and incredibly juicy. The side dishes complemented the meal well, especially the chips, which were a standout. The staff were super friendly, and the cozy, warm atmosphere along with the lovely decorations made the experience even better. The only downside was the bathroom, which could have been cleaner. Other than that, everything was great!

Small and quaint lovely hole in the wall barbecue restaurant. Highly recommend their ribs – soft, tender and fall off the bone! Their cocktails are amazing and Friday and Saturday is Cocktail hour ALL DAY, so jumbo sized drinks for the price of normal size. The staff is welcoming and kind and appear to enjoy their jobs. They are always busy, so I recommend a reservation!

We ordered Red Barn-Style Burger with Mexican Slices and a Cheeseburger with onion rings. We think burgers were just avarage, not worth the money you pay. Mexican Slices were unfortunately soggy. We love the onion rings though. The portion was good enough and they were so crispy.

Just went with a Schlemmerblock (Saturday February 14th) for dinner with my partner. We spent almost 90 Euros, and were told rather rudely by the server that it isn’t accepted on “holidays” (and that one can clearly read it in the instructions). Indeed it does state in the instructions that it is not accepted on “Bundesweite Feiertage” – and Valentines Day is not a bank holiday.

Cocktails are great. The burger was good (way better than two years ago), the fries were soggy. Bacon & cheese fries had raw onions, why?!! Also fatty and soggy. Poutine was fatty and soggy as well, gravy was not homemade, regular cheese (not curds). Wouldn’t go back for the fries. Maybe for the cocktails and burger.

The legendary Red Barn Spare Ribs did not disappoint! Tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fresh salad and crispy potato slices complemented the ribs beautifully. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, adding to the great dining experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu. The only downside was that the ladies’ lavatory could have been a bit cleaner, but overall, it was a fantastic meal!
