The food here is very, very good. The kind of good that makes you pause, look at your plate, and briefly consider ordering the same thing again just to be sure it wasn’t a fluke. The ceviche blew my mind. But, and this is crucial, the food isn’t actually the main reason you’ll want to come back.
The service is.
Honestly, if warmth, politeness, and genuine human decency were an Olympic sport, this staff would be standing on the podium while everyone else argued about whose fault it was. Everyone is welcoming, respectful, and efficient without that dreadful fake cheerfulness that makes you feel like you’ve wandered into a corporate training video. These people actually want you there.
And then there’s the convenience. They even have their own parking. Payment using an app. Simply brilliant
So yes, great food. But the service? That’s the real star of the show. I sincerely hope they never, ever change it.
Grilled octopus appetizer: mastery of Latin flavor. Perfect preparation, crispy and tender, with wonderful accoutrements that emphasize the primary ingredient. I’ve had amazing octopus in Hawaii and this makes me remember those, but maybe just that much better. This might be the best I’ve had.
Smoked half chicken with tostones, brussel sprouts. To be honest I was just curious because they have so much fancy on the menu that I wonder what the BBQ menu can bring in. What it was was a perfectly smoked half of a chicken, with exquisite spiced skin and tender juicy meat. Tostones were great, but calling out for a dip – still good without. Brussel sprouts fell a little flat compared to everything else but who cares.
Drink:Mezcal old fashioned. A delicious smokey take on what is now a standard staple. Whiskey is old news, give me fancy (or even just decent) mezcal. A bit sweet, but paired well with the octopus. A shame I can’t stay and drink these all night.
If you’re looking for an unforgettable Latin BBQ experience, look no further than Pikoteo! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant atmosphere and enticing aroma of grilled meats set the stage for an incredible meal.
The star of the show is, without a doubt, the expertly grilled meats. Every bite bursts with smoky, juicy perfection—whether it’s the succulent ribs, tender brisket, or perfectly seasoned chorizo. The flavors are rich, bold, and authentically Latin, making each dish a celebration of traditional barbecue with a delicious twist.
Service was top-notch, with friendly and knowledgeable staff eager to recommend dishes and ensure a fantastic dining experience. Whether you’re dining with friends, family, or solo, this place is a must-visit.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Can’t wait to go back!
Prices are quite reasonable. Staff is exceedingly friendly and efficient–we felt welcome even when just picking up an order. Parking can be a bit of a hassle, but see the note online about access to the larger lot just next door.
I can’t wait to come back soon for their BBQ meats, they have the most amazing smoker, which we were excited to see.
Also don’t miss out on dessert and the wines perfectly paired by Manuel with your food.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Manuel, who made it a point to talk to everyone who came into his restaurant. This welcoming and hospitable feeling stayed with us throughout our meal. They serve Latin inspired cuisine and every single dish we ordered tasted like it was prepared with lots of love and soul. I loved the Arroz con Pollo the most; the rice was so flavorful and infused with chicken flavor, and cooked to just the right texture. We will be back for sure!
