Smoked salmon chowder has been my forever favourite, would definitely recommend it. New on the menu is it’s Lime and Coconut chowder, as I don’t remember this place having any vegan/vegetarian options before. Because if it’s tinge of coconut, it reminded me of Thai food, but the taste grew on me as kept eating. Definitely going back to try its New England clam chowder. Also, the line was pretty long as usual.

As expected, an electrifying atmosphere, long lineup, and the best ever chowder. We tried the chowder sampler, and it was the best I have ever had. Clam chowder and seafood bisque are the best. The hot crab roll with butter and spices simply melt in your mouth. Be prepared to wait for half an hour in the lineup, but food is served instantly.

It’s no wonder why this place is award winning! The chowders are creamy, rich, and well-seasoned. My favorite is the seafood bisque, followed by the New England clam chowder. Both are addicting to eat with key flavors working well together. The crab and oyster chowder has an overpowering saltiness, which made it hard to taste the oyster or chorizo. We also got the gluten free and vegan lime & coconut chowder, which is good but can’t compete with the other chowders. Pike place chowder is definitely worth the ~20 min line!

The seafood bisque and New England clam chowder were my favorites. This place is delicious and you can expect quality chowder here.

4-4.5 overall. Always expect a long line up here. Recommend doing the online takeout order instead to avoid the line. There is very limited seating here. The chowder is well done in terms of content ratio, not overly salty and has a good viscosity. It is heavy on the fishy taste chowder and not bland – it’s good chowder for a reason. They have a wide assortment of other mixes to try as well.

Place was very busy and crowded. There is limiting seating. Ordered the 4 samplers and the hot and cold lobster rolls. While the chowders were very good, the lobster rolls were just mediocre. I’ve had better on the East Coast. If dining in, you will have to be aggressive to find seats as the staff managing the lines and seating is not very helpful. That was a damper because if you spend $100 on food you should expect proper seating to enjoy it. Saw some people just seating on the sidewalk eating off their trays. Better alternative is to take out the order and try find seating in one of the water viewing areas in the market.

Lots of chowder choices. Even a vegan option, which was the motivation to wait in line to try it. Get in line before they open, otherwise you’ll be waiting a VERY long time. Like many things, it’s worth the wait if you love it. I’m glad I got to try it, and I even recommend it, but I don’t feel the need to have it again (mostly because of the wait time). It’s worth the experience. Limited tables inside and outside, but very well organized so that only people actively eating can stay. Staff was top notch and organized. Overall, the chowder was very good. Nice consistency and flavor. Probably the best chowder in the market.

Yea this is the only place that did live up to the hype on my Seattle experience. The clam chowder has so much “stuff” in it! I sorta was unsure if I should get the special chowder with lobster,
