There is an interesting vibe when you walk in and don’t see any wait staff present and several of the tables need to be bussed. I shouldn’t have went to the bathroom before I ate because the bathroom was FILTHY. Now I’m not talking about things like paper towels on the floor or needing mopped, I’m talking all the way up the side of the tile it looked like it’s never been cleaned at all since the day they opened. Like ever! Crud all over the sink and on the faucets. I didn’t take my phone with me or I would’ve taken pictures. It’s been a week since I’ve been there and I haven’t gotten sick from the shrimp so that’s good. It really was good shrimp and my husband really enjoyed his fried fish and chicken but I’m conflicted on wether I want to return.

I’m going to start out by saying DEVIN WAS AMAZING. He came by the table often checking on us. Got our food out, got our ticket. Refilled our drinks and was very friendly. IF we go back we will make sure its when he is working and request him. I GIVE HIM 5 STARS.

Awful service- Ordered a the boiling with 1 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of crawfish, and 1/2 pound of mussels. We got a total of 7 shrimp ( that’s no where near a lb.) and when we told our waitress she brought back a different guy and he said “are y’all the people with the shrimp” … then left… waitress came back and said “they measure everything”. It took over a half hour for them to just come at the table and look at the 6 shrimp and do nothing about it. We got charged with the pound and she never came back to the table to check on us. Waitress also took forever to bring back our cards and money afterward.

The food was good but unfortunately we weren’t able to eat it while it was fresh. Our server didn’t bring us anything to crack open our crab. We didn’t see our server for a while after receiving our food. We ended up having to ask two different staff members for tools to crack open our crab. Not to mention it felt like we were being avoided while we were waiting on our server to check on us. After about 15-20 minutes of no tools, we were finally brought some and we could eat. Our server did end up apologizing for forgetting the tools. I appreciate the apology. Maybe it was an off-day, but it sure wasn’t busy when we came in.

I got take out. My order was incomplete. I call back to let them know. Ask to talk to the manager, the lady that answer the phone said manager out, I ask her to have the manager to call me back. I waited and I call back , now the manager what be back until the next day. The lady said that the owner was there , but didn’t speak English. This is the second time my order was incomplete. I paid $90.00 plus dollars for terrible service. I’ll advise everyone to stay away from the Pier 88 on Britton Road.

I don’t know who owns this place, but the food is delicious! The customer service is horrible! You walk in and no one is there to greet you and you see people that work there walking around but they ignore you, my friend called and someone answered and she told them we’d been waiting to be seated and they came and helped us only then. They say you work for tips well no one in there deserves it. I hope the owner comes in and trains their staff and cleans up! They got great food, it’s kinda sad!

We were very impressed. The mozzarella sticks were great for an appetizer and the crab & shrimp boil was just as amazing! We will definitely be returning. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday afternoon which I hate to see but it is just a sign of the times! Overall 5+ star for sure. Thank you for a fantastic meal!

Atmosphere was cool, the host was pleasant the server/ bartender needed help and maybe would have done a better job if he had more help we order the boil for two and added another half of pound of crab legs we also order two scooby snack drinks it took about 25mins to get our drinks when they came out they looked wrong and look like liquid marijuana’s and I was not going to complain as along as it was good when I drink some of my drink it was nasty it was not made right I asked him what was in it and everything he named did not belong in the drink then the pineapple juice that was put In The drink taste old. It was at that moment I knew he could not make drinks it was like he threw whatever in the cups and brought them out so I got a Dr-pepper and lemonade. And our crab and shrimp was over cooked!! I felt bad for them cause it was just 2-3 staff not sure if I will be back maybe not this location ‍♀️

Now I will say I have gone here multiple times in the past and I have loved it everytime. On my last visit me and my GF bought a ton of food and 4 pounds of snowcrab legs. The legs were cooked at to low of a temperature so the crab meat never separated from the shell and the shell got soft so it was near impossible to eat the crab legs. The rest of the food was great so I called later about it and I was told we would be given 3 lbs of crab legs credited to our next bill so $90 I called in today and was told again 3 lbs so $90 dollars. When we got in we asked for the manager (Margaret) who said both times she would do the 3lbs on the phone. When we showed up she changed it to 2 lbs so 60$. We talked a bit more about it and she said $60 and 3 cheesecakes “won’t recommend the cheesecakes they are crumbly and thick not smooth and sweet like it should be”. which was better then nothing. We brought a friend from Tulsa as well to try a crab boil for her first time ever too. Now we ordered alot of food again and the food was great, crab cooked perfectly this time flavor was amazing. The lobster tail had the same issue of being rubbery and stuck to the shell do to being not cooked at a high enough temperature. We mentioned it and the waiter told me she kinda just scoffed after he explained our issue and at the time he was understanding. Now we had a budget and what we had in mind and a tip all set up before hand. 160 dollars total. Our tip would have been about $38. But since they changed the discount when we got there I could only leave a 7 dollar tip. The dude was cool so I felt bad but a budget is a budget. The server saw the tip and became mad at me and demanded more money and tried saying we stole utensils that he now had to pay for it then he tried making me feel bad. I wrote 17 just to please him so that I could leave. I called back shortly after, asked for the manager again, stated what the server did and said I would like to have the tip removed. She then tried telling me that she fixed the crab and gave us the cheesecake so she wouldn’t remove the tip. After some back and forth I finally got her to remove the tip. Overall we went in to give a amazing experience to a friend at what we thought was a great restaurant but bad management and a bad employee ruined that experience at the end.

This was my 1st time here sunday night and I brought some family visiting from Colorado to try this place. When we came in to get seated the 1st girl upfront asked if the we thought a nearby booth was big enough or if we would need a bigger one. I asked for a larger one if possible. After waiting to for her find a second girl, the second one asked booth or table and I said booth, but are they all this size? She said yes and I replied with oh okay no problem. Instead of walking us around the middle partition to our table she slammed our menus down on the table over it. Extremely rude in my opion and instantly put us off and made us feel unwelcome before we even sat down. Our waiter kept forgetting when we would ask for things like lemon slices or crab leg crackers to open our crab legs which we didnt get until we are just about done eating. 3 of us ran out of drinks and decided to just leave instead of asking for more. All that being said I was really hoping the food would make up for the bad service. And it just fell short. Not great and not terrible definitely not worth the price. I will not only NEVER go back, I also would NOT recommend this place to anyone and I’m embarrassed I brought people from out of state to have that experience.
