Over-priced salty food. There was only one waitress for the whole place. She was great, but we stood waiting to be noticed by the staff for seating for almost 5 minutes in an almost empty restaurant.

Thursday nights are karaoke nights. It is always fun and provides entertainment. The food is OK and the servers work their tails off! Drink specials include $2 draft bottles and $3 fireball. Eight TV screens line the wall at the bar playing multiple sports programs. Maybe you will get lucky and see Elvis!

They have a new policy as of Wednesday that charges customers $1.00 if they use a credit card. There was no notice ahead of time. We were not told prior to our card being charged. Then we noticed it written at the bottom of the receipt. We asked the manager about it, told him we did not think they could do that, and he said the business owner can do what ever she wants because it is her business. I called Visa. That is not allowed. Visa will be contacting Pickles. We are frequent customers over the years who will not be back.

Pickles is in our neighborhood and we love to support local business. No matter how much we want to have a great experience at this place (and we have been countless times,) there are always problems and disappointments. We have been unimpressed by management over and over again. Unprofessional. The food is overpriced, and the service is rarely acceptable. The last straw was when they started adding a service fee for using a credit card with no notice or information. It is really unfortunate because what they have going for them is good tasting food and cold beer. If only they would realize, providing affordable prices and great service, that place could be packed nightly. Instead, we rarely see more than 2-3 tables dining at a time. And now, we aren’t one of them anymore.

We showed up with a group of 6 in the middle of the afternoon. Our server was very attentive and gave us great tips on the items we were ordering for the first time. The food was very good. We all agreed that we would like to go again when a band is playing. The portions we’re generous.

James was in charge and he was so nice – gave us a free sample of a new appetizer creation – Chicken Fried Brisket – it was incredible! At our table we had Philly Cheesesteaks, grilled cheese, and their homemade tomato soup. It was all delicious and perfect portion size. Our server, Lori, was just the right amount of checking in and leaving us alone to enjoy the atmosphere. Prices are great, service is outstanding, and it even it a great place to take the kiddos (for lunch). Can’t wait to go back to try the drinks and hear the music!

I have now been here twice. The food is very good here. It can take a while to get your food when they are busy, but it is likely because they do make every there (with exception of the fries and kids nuggets, which are frozen). They also have some great bands play here on occasion. There is a patio for when the weather is nice and the booths all have their own TV to watch your favorite sports.

Relatively small menu but the fare is good and the tab was unexpectedly inexpensive. The large televisions installed in every table booth were very distracting during karaoke night but I suppose they would be very desirable for catching a televised sporting event. The waitress was friendly and motivated but seemed a bit lost as though she could have benefitted from some more attentive training.
