The employees were kind and helpful. The food was great. The salads and pastas were good with crispy chicken. The calamari was also amazing.

Tried this place while visiting with my girlfriend. Was pleasantly surprised by what I found. Think, Italian burritos and you’d be on the right path. The food is fast, healthy, and appropriately portioned for the cost involved. We avocado chop salad and the BLT piada (shown). They also sell pastas though we did not have one on this trip. My missing star on the atmosphere is due to the seating being a little TOO modern for my taste. Wood and steel benches arranged in a weird variety of bars and tables that don’t really appeal to me and feel cold and uninviting. That’s my only complaint though of the entire experience.

Honestly, the food is amazing and is the main reason I keep coming back. However, the customer service could really use some improvement. The front staff often come across as rude or uninterested, and there’s rarely a greeting when you walk in. It’s disappointing because the team in the back seems great, but the ones at the counter — who customers interact with most — really affect the overall experience.
Unfortunately we came last night though and had someone super rude up front. And the food was good until I almost ate a whole chicken bone.

Had lunch at Piada today, where they serve what they call “Italian street food.” I’m not sure it’s authentic street food from Italy, but it’s still a great spot. You pick a salad, pasta, or wrap, then add your protein and extras. I got the kale salad with salmon and the carbonara with chicken, both were tasty and felt like a healthier, more affordable option (around $17 per person for just the bowl). Service was excellent, and the place has a cool, modern vibe.

I’ve not been to this location. I just want everyone to know this is the best food I ever had (and im a big time foodie). We miss you Piada in Michigan!! The one in Troy MI used to have a big line at lunch wrapped around the building even day. What happened? Go here and the food will not disappoint! I may have to travel to Toledo just for Piada! Enjoy

We had the Chicken Carbonara with rigatoni and avocado chicken salad, plus some parmesan piada sticks. The food was ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! The employees were very polite, informative, and patient (we had never heard of the restaurant so did not know what to select). They did a wonderful job preparing the food. We live 90 minutes away so it’s not likely we’ll be there again, but hope to see some stores elsewhere!

I drove all the way from Waterford, Michigan to have this food. I’ve traveled far.

Special thanks to jackson Tammy Dominic for making my food and being very helpful with the menu and further explaining everything!

On Arrival & Ambiance (⭐ 5/5)

As soon as I stepped in, I got a warm, friendly welcome from staff who were eager to explain the menu and make suggestions—even a first timer like me felt immediately at ease

Food & Customization (⭐ 5/5)

Think of Piada as an Italian version of Chipotle—an assembly-line setup where you build a custom wrap (“Piada”), pasta bowl, or chopped salad—everything made fresh and quick. I went for the chef’s favorite piada—and it did not disappoint. The flavors were bold, the ingredients fresh, and the dough had a delightful chewy texture with just the right amount of salt . Portions are generous, and the personalization means you get exactly what you want. Overall, the quality felt high-end for a fast-casual restaurant, and I was impressed!

Service & Experience (⭐ 4.5/5)

Service was excellent—quick, professional, and cheerful. I had plenty of time during my stop to savor the experience and the food without feeling rushed. A few reviews mention experiences that were less positive—like a salad too heavy on garlic or delays via the app—but my visit was entirely smooth . As always with chain spots, your experience can depend on the location and staff, but this particular visit was high-touch in the best way.

Overall Experience (⭐ 4.5/5)

A compelling blend of convenience and quality. From Waterford, the journey is easy, making Piada an ideal destination for a tasty midday or post-shopping stop. The food hits the mark on freshness, flavor, and value. If you appreciate fresh, customizable fast-casual Italian fare, this spot won’t disappoint.

Came here for the first time in a WHILE the other day. Was craving some yummy italian food. They have a lot of options and the menu was a little confusing to me, I won’t lie. It seemed like a Chipotle style setup where you move down the line but the menu had a lot of pre-assembled options on it and the employees weren’t very helpful about explaining the process. In fact, when my fiancé ordered something that was no longer on the menu, the guy “helping” us actually got sorta rude. he made some snarky comment about how we didn’t give enough information about the item instead of just asking a question to clarify (aka doing his JOB). We got 2 calamari wraps, and I also got a basil pesto bowl with calamari and we tried their purple pea powder lemonade drink. The food was pretty yummy, I could tell the calamari had been made fresh. The purple lemonade (lemonade fresca i think?) looked cool but didn’t taste all that good. and we waited at the end of the line for 10+ minutes waiting for the food to finally be done. I think we were waiting on the fresh calamari, but no one really explained to us what was going on and so just having to wait for a while with no explanation was pretty annoying. I don’t think I’ll be back soon. The employees seemed disorganized or perhaps just not properly trained yet.

The food was incredible. The staff were so welcoming and kind that it made my first experience great! We will definitely be coming back! And the cannoli chips were the PERFECT end to the meal. Highly recommend!

My cousin treated me to dinner at Piada. We ordered to go. She went inside took about 25 mins. She got a chicken alfredo bowl for me with chicken bacon and roasted broccoli. It was so dry so I went to stir it up. The noodles at the bottom were so dried out they were brown. It wasnt even edible. She didn’t finish her with and we usually eat the whole thing.
