I drove past here on my way back from the mountains. I’d seen it a few times, but never stopped. This diner was a perfect choice! The place is old-school, clean, and the service is super friendly, helpful, and fast! I’m really glad I stopped here, it felt like time stop therell! I felt like I was visiting my aunt or grandmother for dinner!!! The food is great, the portions are large, I didn’t even have room for dessert!!! I ordered the split pea soup – it was perfect!! And the chicken & biscuit pot pie – very tasty!!!! Exactly the kind of meal I needed after hiking!!! I really recommend it, enjoy!!! Oh, I almost forgot – the prices are very reasonable!

Phoenicia Diner is a cozy, homey spot that instantly makes you feel welcome. The space is beautifully decorated for the holidays, giving it a festive, comforting vibe, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind.

The food overall was solid, though a bit mixed. The eggs and sausage were flavorful and well done, while the pancakes were good but not particularly memorable. The juices are advertised as freshly squeezed, but they tasted more like concentrate than fresh, which was a little disappointing.

That said, my breakfast special was exceptional. The seasonal turkey with fennel, fried Brussels sprouts, Phoenicia potatoes, and eggs was standout and absolutely worth ordering. It felt thoughtful, hearty, and satisfying, especially on a chilly fall/winter day.

Despite a few misses, this is a welcoming, family-friendly spot in a great Catskills location. I’d definitely return with the kids for the atmosphere, comfort, and friendly service alone — and I’d happily order the specials again.

It’s a Catskill relic, so it was only right that we went! What a cute little diner!!!

We got there right when it opened because its first come, first serve. That was a power move on our part. It started to get packed quickly!

The food was good! I got the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were nice and buttery. So soft. The gravy was great, too. It was lacking a TAD bit of flavor. I wish the sausage pieces were a little larger, too. The pancakes, which they are known for, were good! They were soft and pillowy. Delish.

The service was good. Our waiter was spread thin for a little while her coworkers came in about an hour after we were seated.

They had merch to buy and of course I had to partake! Such cute little souvenirs!

Overall, a great place to visit!!! Especially if you’re a Severance fan!

This is the kind of restaurant you’ll definitely want to try if you happen to pass by. In this small town with a small population, it’s one of the few restaurants with a full parking lot. If the locals love to eat there, it’s highly likely that the food is genuinely delicious and has a great reputation. The restaurant’s decor is full of historical charm, and you can even press your own commemorative coin with a silver coin. It also has a bar area, perfect for relaxing and socializing. The music selection was excellent, and our server, Barbara, was very friendly. The overall atmosphere and music were fantastic! And of course, the food didn’t disappoint either!

I haven’t had good diner food in a while at Phoenicia Diner more than hit the spot. Everything was fresh, delicious, and the people working here are so friendly. The menu is huge and everything is served all day long (both breakfast and lunch). I really enjoyed the big breakfast here which allows you to try a little bit of everything. Definitely stop by if you’re nearby and want to be filled up for a great price. Also the vibe inside is both cozy, busy, and old school!

Nice diner, friendly service but they could not get fried eggs without runny yolks right. My wife had ordered medium eggs. When it has come out runny she asked if they could cook it so the yolks weren’t runny. They remade the eggs but it was still runny as the first. She asked if they could just give her eggs that had hard yolks. The third time, one would expect to be correct but the eggs were still as runny as the first. She finally gave up and ate around the yolks, resulting in a disappointing experience. The rest of our meals turned out fine. I had also ordered a coffee which never came.

Definitely one of the best tasting pancakes I’ve had. My fiance isn’t too crazy about pancakes and she absolutely loved them. The steelhead trout platter was also delicious. Overall, great food and top tier personalized service. We will definitely be back!

When here for breakfast before climbing Hunter Mountain. My friend said it was her favorite place to eat in the area. She wasn’t wrong. The food is great. The portions are good. The majority of the food seems to be locally sourced. After we climb the mountain we came back for boozy milkshakes. The same server was there and remembered us. Somehow we even got our own table back from earlier. Hoping Katy and I make that our own personal table for several visits to come

Vintage chic diner serving quality, local, “real” food. We loved the 3500 plate comes with little bit of everything you want for a diner food: one pancake, one piece of french toast, one pork sausage, some bacons, and eggs. We also ordered the scrambled eggs with smoked trout that comes on a hot skillet served with toast. everything tasted fresh and was well made. will come again! plus, the swags are cute!

It was an honor to dine at such an institutional establishment. They have a spacious outdoor space if you want to dine outside with a camper serving drinks.

We opted to wait inside. We came towards the tail-end of brunch service so the wait was about 30 min but it cleared out quickly once the afternoon hour hit.

Food was delicious and the staff were all very kind and attentive. The place gets really busy for breakfast so I recommend coming early to put your name down.

I’d definitely get the hash browns again. Order highlight! My only gripe is that the toast slices were super tiny. Please give us larger pieces!
