Best pho and bun bo Hue in Sydney! We’ve tried many places and this one is by far one of the best spots for both pho and bun bo Hue in one location. We had the raw beef pho with meat balls, and the bun bo Hue, and our whole family absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend their pho and bun bo Hue, and they also have a great variety of other dishes that we’re keen to try next time. Thank you for the delicious food!

We’ve been going to Pho Lam for over 15 years, and the food has consistently been of a high standard. The quality, flavour, and consistency have always stood out, which is why we continue to return year after year. It’s a place we trust and genuinely enjoy, food and overall experience they provide.

Had pho twice here in a week. Both times very consistent and not much msg. Soup base was clear and rich in flavour. Only gripe is the large is not really a large!

Been trying different Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney and found Pho Lam. They offer a variety of different Vietnamese dishes, but I decided to try the Pho Dac Biet (Special/Combination Beef), fried chicken wings and ice coffee. The broth is light and can taste different flavours, less intense than the other southern styles. There was adequate beef and different cuts as well. It would have been better if there was slightly more pho than the meat. The ice coffee was also not as acidic as other ones (which I prefer). Food came promptly and staff were friendly. The decor is casual (like a standard Vietnamese restaurant), with plenty of tables split across two areas. Will be back to try their other dishes.

We recently visited this old place in Canley Height and tried their signature dishes i.e. the rice noodle thick soup with crab, seafood and sugar cane prawn (banh can cua dac biet), the complete beef rice noodle soup (pho dac biet) and banh xeo egg & bean sprout pancake. All dishes we ordered for lunch were good, especially the rice noodle thick gravy soup and the banh xeo. On next visit, we also tried their spring rolls (cha gio) and broken rice with pork chop (com tam) and they’re quite good as well.

Prices on menu are comparable with other Vietnamese places in the area, but you can only pay by cash. Ambience and customer services are limited because this is just a small casual eatery, though their food quality are quite good.

Came to this restaurant for the first time and it wasn’t bad. Meat was a bit too thin for my liking and could’ve went with a little more pho for a large bowl so kind of disappointing. Price was average and everything else was pretty good too

Holy cow ! My husband and I have been looking for a new pho place for years with much disappointment. The places that were not great but decent at least, have been dropping in flavour and quality.

We gave this place a go since we always walk past and man, did it deliver !!! Rich and flavoursome broth that was steaming hot (super important to me). Wash it down with their beautifully balanced and fragrant iced coffee. There is nothing more glorious than a good feed.

I have been to a few pho restaurants in Canley Heights and Cabramatta, but so far this is the best Pho Beef i have had.
Kudos to Pho Lam. When I ordered the waiter asked if I wanted a normal or large bowl. Luckily I ordered a normal, because the normal bowl is already quite a generous serve. Definitely value for money. Will come back for sure.

Awesome place. Briilant food. Don’t be decieved by how the place may look, and you have to try the Vietnamese coffee.

I had the rare beef Pho and it was great.

Another day, another Pho review. Today, I will be reviewing Pho Lam, located in Canley Height. Pho Lam has been around for some time now. The restaurant started off as a small little restaurant they have expanded, but it still a relatively small restaurant.

For $17, you get the special pho, including the usual beef, brisket, tendon, beef balls, and tripe. The borth is clear, point award here. However, the borth is salty for my taste. The lemon and hoisin sauce may dampen the saltiness, but I like my broth to be pure and not mixed with hoison or chilli sauce. Caution here if you are a meat eater like myself, you will find not enough meat. The Restaurant has a broth fragrance when you walk in, but the Pho lacks the fragrance when it has been served to you.

Decor is a bit dated, and sitting could feel a bit cramp. Overall, for price, there are better options around with more meat serving.
