My girlfriend and I decided to have pho here and it didn’t disappoint. Firstly, this is a mom and pop business, and I think their whole family works here. I like those kinds of places because I feel like there’s better service by people who have a vested interest in the business, and it’s not just a job to them. The service was lightning fast by the mother of the family. We were seated immediately, and served menus. When we were ready she took our order without writing it down on paper and had perfect mental notes. Our food was just as fast, and just as we ordered. We ordered pho ga (chicken) and it was great! The Vietnamese coffee and hot tea were amazing, and my girlfriend enjoyed her Coke out of the can with the glass of ice served with it. Overall it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be going back, 5⭐s.

Massive portions of delicious food! Super friendly store with fair pricing. The house special pho had an amazing broth, especially if you’re a fan of lighter broths. The ribs were super flavourful and tender. I only wish the beef was a bit more rare, but otherwise amazing! Highly recommended.

This place is amazing!! We always make a point to stop here on our road trips. The broth is delicious and really high quality. It’s hard to find a place that does rare steak and is this good of quality. Everyone who works here is so kind and take a lot of pride in their restaurant and quality of food! Be sure to visit here, you won’t be disappointed!

I went to this restaurant yesterday after reading the great reviews. The menu given did not have a Pho Ga (Chicken Pho) on it, but I had read about it in another review that they did. I asked and they said they could get me one, so I ordered it ($16). It was really terrible in taste, the broth had no flavor or salt more like boiled water, several of the chicken pieces came with the skin on again without any flavor. I tried eating it but just couldn’t so I left after taking only a few bites.

Pho & Bun is a gem among a crowded list of Vietnamese noodle restaurants in the south bay. The location in Milpitas is small but the flavors are bold and the food is super delicious. It was our first time visiting and like any special place that focuses on quality, popular dishes, albeit the best dishes will quickly sell out. We were lucky to experience the beef rib pho noodle soup on a Sunday night. Eager to please, the manager waited and served us. Calamansi juice was quickly offered as a drink conjuring up childhood memories of this liquid gold citrus drink that typically can only be found in tropical countries. The soup was loaded with rare beef slices, flank steak, beef ball and rice noodle. The broth wasn’t salty nor oily, a testament to the chefs passion and care. The complimentary vegetables were fresh and truly added to the flavors of the broth. There is no need to add hoisin or Sriracha sauce. The meat on the two bone beef rib was tender and flavorful. A meal, fit or a king or the hungriest of guests. No wonder it quickly sells out. I highly recommend this place. A second visit is worth considering very soon.

Ordered #1 Pho Dac Biet (Special) Comes with Charred Short Rib. Soup broth isn’t too salty. They currently have limited options for Bun (Vermicelli Noodle) dishes. Will add more in September.

We have been looking for a good pho place near us and finally have one! Their pho has a nice light flavor without being too strong on certain spice flavors (star anise, cinnamon, cloves, etc.) which is what I look for personally. The bone that comes with the #1 pho order is surprisingly tasty! I was worried it was just a gimmick, but it’s seasoned so well and differently from the pho flavors that make it so you want to keep alternating eating the two.

The place is tiny with only a few tables. (Pretty sure the previous place we used to go to was Noodle Hut – RIP!) The Pho house special is a must-have. The side grilled beef rib is premium and packed with garlicky goodness. Pho broth was clean and on the healthier side. Good portion but unfortunately no fresh noodles. The buc moc, its other house special, was decent but wasn’t as worth it. The pork needed to be in the pot for a while longer; it isn’t tender enough. The spring roll was OK; the peanut sauce was interesting – there were shredded pickled carrots?) and fried shallots in it. The flavor was a bit off for me. Service was good and attentive. We got there around 7p on a Sunday and shortly after it was all sold out (they close at 8p). Be sure to come early! I’d definitely be back for the house special pho with the side grilled rib for sure.

I gave it 5 stars because I’ve been going back to this place for almost 2 weeks straight. Their pho and bun moc are consistent. Taste the same to me all the time. The owner is very friendly. What i love the most are fast service and there’s no MSG. Definitely a go back place to me even though it’s kind far from where I live. Try to avoid lunch time if u don’t want to wait. Beside that I highly recommend this place to everyone.
