Enjoyed lunch with a co-worker and left very satisfied! Ordered Pho Hue – delicious! Our waiter was quick to get our orders – and the food came within 10 minutes. I appreciated the staff coming to check in on us as we ate. A good bowl of Pho if you’re looking for a new place to try! Definitely a restaurant I will be back to!

This place has fast, friendly service! The food was delicious, noodle bowl and pho were both good. The prices are hard to beat! The restaurant was clean. Good on-site parking.

Visiting Pho 79 was for me a walk down memory lane, and what a joy it was! The first time I tasted Fresh Spring Rolls was when the strip mall at Raymond and Energy Park Drive opened in 1991/92. So I was hoping the taste would be as good as 30+ years ago (when I was a student at U of M). It was sooooo good! Delicious and very rich in taste, served with the signature dip sauce that is excellent and a very good combo with the fresh spring rolls

Food was fairly good, was a little slow on service but fairly fast for maybe about 2 or 3 people running the restaurant. Would recommend for people in the area craving Vietnamese food.

Deeeeeelicious bowl of pho. I got the number 12. Their broth is exactly how I like it, not too heavy but great aromatics that keep you slurping until you’re stuffed. The fresh pressed Vietnamese coffee is incredible, I’ll definitely be back for that! Cute little place in a random strip mall, but worth the trip. Nice acoustic music atmosphere too. Reasonable prices and portion sizes, not too much pho that you leave half the bowl behind!

Went here while searching for noodles on Google maps and this place did not disappoint. The food was amazing as I enjoyed the seafood with chicken broth and my wife had the Veggies in chicken broth. For and appetizer we had the spring rolls. All of the food was perfect and for a drink we each had hot tea which was also very good. If you in town and looking for a great pho noodle spot make sure you stop in cause you will not be disappointed.

The broth is a bit sweet for my liking, and the meat doesn’t seem to be cut thin enough to be cooked thoroughly, but overall this is a pretty good place. I might not seek it out if I didn’t live so close, but it’s a great place to have in the neighborhood. Takeout doesn’t come with sriracha (there’s an extra cost), but it does come with some hoisin and the other traditional accoutrements you’d expect. The wontons were incredible and a super good value.

Nestled into an unassuming St. Paul strip mall, Pho 79 is some of the best Vietnamese fare that you can find anywhere in the Twin Cities. The spring rolls are fresh and flavorful, the chicken wings are fabulously crispy on the outside, but still moist on the inside, and the Bahn Mi and Vermicelli Noodle salads are both superb. The pho here is not fussy, but the flavors are transcendent. The broth is clear, complex, and beautifully spiced. The meat is always tender and the noodles are the perfect texture.

Ordered a chicken pho to dine in and fried rice (to go). The broth was fine, 5/10 would recommend in my personal opinion. I’ve had plenty of pho my entire life growing up in an Asian household and surroundings, it definitely wasn’t the best I’ve had nor the worst. Waiters are very kind and professional. Clean establishment. BUT… Towards the end of finishing my soup I did notice a little bug and wanted to be sure it was what I was seeing in my soup. I definitely counted 6 legs too. I politely brought it to the waiters attention and he apologized for it and took the bowl away and I paid for my meal. He came back and said that it was fragments from a tea bag and not a bug. I would have just preferred the apology than a lie. When I definitely counted six legs.
