The WORST bar experience I’ve ever had as a 10th gen Montana native. The DRUNK bar maid and DRUNK owner were rude, unprofessional and completely disrespectful to paying customers.
Bar maid and owner were talking about us as we were sitting at their bar drinking the drinks that we PAYED and TIPPED for. It was so appalling, we decided to leave. We then received verbal threats and were then flipped off repeatedly by them
We said and did NOTHING to deserve any of this and we will NEVER be going back. This place SUCKS.
I’m never one to accuse someone of racism EVER, however this whole scenario seemed very pre meditated from the moment we stepped into the establishment. All eyes were on us and we IMMEDIATELY received backlash for simply walking in the door.
Disgusting. Do better.

Eat at the Branding Iron often, always had good service and good food. Tonight we stopped for dinner and it took a long time to get served, when we did the bar maid was rude, she took our order and went behind the bar and danced around. Asked her if our food was going to be long and she kicked us out.

Worst sandwich I have had in decades.
My friend and I went to the Branding Iron for lunch. We each ordered the grilled ham and cheese sandwich. When the bartender./ cook / waitress brought us the sandwiches, something seemed wrong. We soon realized that the “grilled” sandwiches weren’t grilled at all. She toasted two pieces of plain bread, put one slice of over-processed cheese on the toast, put a thin slice of pressed-and-formed ham on the bread, then microwaved the “sandwiches” to get the cheese to melt. That’s all she did. No grilling ever took place. The result was a nuked sandwich that was as disgusting as it seems like it would be. We ordered grilled ham and cheese and didn’t get it. Instead we got toasted and microwaved over-processed mess.
This place was pretty good years ago when I stopped in for a burger, but after this sandwich disaster and the laziest cook / waitress ever, I can’t imagine ever going back.
