Visiting from Washington State, my brothers took us here for one of our last dinners.
Large portions on the cheese steaks and over all flavor was really great.
Our server was one of their regular servers and gave us great attention for being outside.
Id say the biggest comment I have is that the meat portions and plating were inconsistent. You can see in my picture it looks like the meat was just slapped on the bun and not even cared about for some of the orders.
Like I said, over all flavor was great but consistency needs some attention.

The Philadelphia Tavern was busy as it was one of the Friday nights where Manassas closes off the streets for a block party. Ordered the Hot Pastrami on Rye with fries, real good flavor and the fries were seasoned. Had a Bourbon and coke to drink.
Yuengling beer and the Philly cheese steaks are also added.

I ordered from Philadelphia Tavern for the first time, thanks to positive reviews on Google and Yelp. I was in the mood for a meal of fried fish on the day that I ordered. It’s hard to find a place that does good fish in Manassas. I got the ‘Fish & Chips’ with a side of onion rings. When I got my food, I was happy with how it was packaged – the onion rings were in one box and the fish and fries were in another, all within 1 plastic bag. The fish & chips was $15, and the side of onion rings was $5. Not a bad price.

The fish had a great look to it! Very beautiful. The breading for the fish had great flavor and crunch. The fries were a bit soggy, but that’s okay. The fries tasted great, as well. The onion rings were perfect, and I loved them. The only negative thing I have to say about the food was that the pieces of fish were so huge that some bites had almost no breading to them, leaving a bland taste in my mouth of nothing-ness. The fish by itself with no breading has no real seasoning to speak of, and is just plain boring. If they could take the pieces of fish and cut them into smaller pieces, and coat all those pieces in breading, I think it would be for the better — Each bite would have an amazing flavor.

Try this place, if you’re on the fence about it, or you never have had it. This is the only thing I’ve gotten from there, to date (2/14), and the food was so good that I will be going back again. Check back later for updates!

There are no thrills but I don’t think that is the great make of local bar at least one that is good. The staff were awesome and I am pretty pissed with myself for not writting this review sooner so that I could recall their names. Nevertheless the mozzarella sticks were the only thing I recommend not ordering but everything else was yummy. I mean how do you go wrong with fried cheese.

Big shout out to the bartender though. He was AMAZING! So patient with me and really took his time to make drinks that he thought I would really enjoy and were multi dimensional. Honestly such a nice experience and we will return soon just to grab a quick bite and see the team.

Where do I start? Yes can’t go wrong with classic steak and cheese. The kitchen does take pride in those hoagies so you do wait. Mature staff. No longer have to drive to Baltimore or Philadelphia. You can can mix the cheeses. The portions are legit for the market. All beers on tap are clean no metal taste cleanliness is good on that.seatinh is limited. The kitchen has alot pride in the back. Yes I will bring friends here.

We decided to try this place out for some cheesesteaks. They didn’t disappoint in my opinion even though I’m not from Philadelphia so I wouldn’t know how genuine they were. I tried the original, my wife the chicken cheesesteak and my son the 4 alarm cheesesteak although he said isn’t wasn’t hot at all. The interior of the place is nice. Love the bar it is absolutely beautiful. The service was okay. The servers weren’t the quickest and we had to ask to get a drink refill bit over all the place I worth a visit if you haven’t been before.

Cheesesteak is one of the best. Extra white American cheese add some salt and your good to go. My next trip I will order extra meat.

You want something that wont leave your chest with that tight feeling then this is the cheesesteak place. Don’t let the wood décor deter you.

It was my first time visiting and the experience was not particularly my favorite. The waitress was helpful and the clam chowder was fine. I ordered a dirty martini and simply couldn’t finish it. I’m not sure if it was the $9 price tag or the old pimento olives that left me disappointed.

A warning: if it is football season, it will be packed and loud in the evenings. However, I went on Saturday for lunch with a friend and it was nice and quiet in there.

I had heard that this place had excellent Philly-style sandwiches (“best in the area”), and I have to admit, this place lives up to the hype. Old darkwood bar gives the place a nice ambiance.

I got the roasted pork, spinach, and provolone sandwich, which was juicy and well-sauced. The meat was very well marinated and was slightly crispy, and every bite was flavorful and comforting. My friend had a similar experience with her cheesesteak. The fries were super crispy and were excellent on their own, even without ketchup.

Will definitely come back here (on a non-football night)

Reasonable prices and great food is a winning combo. The reuben and cheesesteak, with fries & onion rings, were delicious; served hot & fresh. The staff (thanks, Mickey!) were attentive and friendly. We’re regular customers for good reason.
