Simply put, a Petro is a barrel of deliciousness featuring your choice of our original chicken (97% lean) or plant-based chilis, Frito’s (or pasta!), and your preferred toppings (typically cheese, diced tomatoes, sour cream, green onions, olives & jalapeños….but also guacamole, salsa, grilled chicken, BBQ pork and more!). The tastiness doesn’t end there. Our Hint-of-Orange Iced Tea, which is freshly brewed to perfection throughout the day and features just a hint of orange, is also an award-winning crowd favorite.

We love the chicken potato. It is never dry like other restaurants serving loaded potato. We now have to drive to Southern Pines, a long trip for a potato, but well worth it. I wish the Fayetteville location would reopen and better yet open one in Surf City or Hampstead. Thanks!!! Karl

Just tried a Petro for my first time today! What a treat. The bowl of chili and chips comes LOADED and tastes amazing. YUM! The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was quite tidy. I will be back again for sure.

This place is awesome! Everything (except for the hot dogs) can be made vegan! I had the chili and it was really good. The medium size is pretty big, I couldn’t imagine having a large. They have the chewable ice and Texas Pete hot sauce which was the icing on the cake! I’d rate it 5 stars if they had veggie dogs. I’ll definitely be back to try the nachos

Gonna break my “no chains” review preference for this often overlooked gem. Petros manages to do fast food that is flavorful, fresh, and interesting. Get their chili over chips, baked potato, or a hot dog, or get the loaded nachos in three different ways, but whatever you do, *definitely* get the orange tea. It’s the upgrade sweet tea never realized it needed.
