Best dive bar in La Mesa! Very affordable drinks in a clean, safe and fun environment. Very friendly bartenders and very clean establishment. Doesn’t even feel like a dive bar. There are two pool tables and a outdoor seating area in the back. Easy street parking.

Love this bar.. Prices are reasonable and bar service is fast.. ask for the cucumber thingie if you like vodka mixed drinks that aren’t too sweet. They are meticulous about carding everyone even when you’re obviously over 21. They have pool tables and an outdoor seating area in the rear. Restrooms are clean and so is the bar. I haven’t eaten here and I don’t know if they even have food. Fun atmosphere with a digital juke box. Definitely a go-to La Mesa bar and there is usually parking unless it’s Friday night.

Pete’s Place is a joke. Their staff is rude and completely disrespectful. I’m so disgusted with the way I was treated tonight by the guard. Instead of being talked to like a person, I degraded and talked to like I was stupid. It is not right and they need to do better. Even if there was an issue it could have been handled better.

Great “used to be a dive” in the heart of La Mesa Village. Nice beer selection with great service. Good local crowd.

I would have done 5 stars, but I’m a pool player and the tables are horrible. It’s a small bar with a quaint hole in the wall atmosphere, but can also get very crowded at times.

This place is the definition of a neighborhood bar. All of the bartenders become your instant best friend. It doesn’t matter if Jesse, Carl, Raenna or Matt serve you, you will receive personal attention. Cheap pool tables and a clean and fun environment will keep me coming back as often as I can afford.
