The food is just ok, the man behind the counter is very nice but the woman who’s usually at the register alternates between surly and downright rude. My last attempt to shop here, I tried to call in two items to pick up and she was so nasty, she complained as I asked for a corned beef sandwich then when I tried to add stuffed cabbage, that was somehow too much for her to handle. I suggest you go to Kosher Nosh in Glen Rock instead. Nice people, good food, much bigger selection. I called in the same two items and they were ready when I arrived. It was worth the extra few miles. Life is too short to deal with nasty people who are supposed to be in a service industry.

Absolutely disgusting! I ordered an extra, extra , extra lean corned beef sandwich and man pointed to case and said this is the cold one which is extra lean. The hot one has fat on it. I said okay. What I got was very lean “cold cut” corned beef full of gristle Every bite I took I had to spit into the bag ! For $15 I could have gone to a deli and got 2 for the price! You should know the difference between real corned beef and cold cut. Not ones fatties. Shame on you!

I just went here this week for the first time. We bought Pickled herring. Wow it is fantastic. The staff is super nice and all of the food looks and smells delicious. Oh and we also brought home some chicken noodle soup. yummy!!

$31 for a pound of potato salad, half a pound of tuna salad, chicken salad and cucumber salad. The chicken salad was not even edible, overloaded with mayonnaise. I used to go here all the time many years ago and the food was excellent. Never again.

They saved us in a pinch when seder was upended by a covid diagnosis. We didn’t order ahead and they still had a pretty good selection and good quantities for a seder of 15 ppl. Food was tasty and the service was very good. Fast paced old school jewish deli vibes. Not for the weak or thise who can handle the certainty and speed in which you are expected to order.

Great Kosher Deli. Their potato salad, pastrami, and corned beef is some of the best I’ve ever had. I pick up lunch from here at least once a week and I’d recommend them 100 times over.

Nasty. Went into Petak’s to buy 2 items.. I was the only one there. There was a lady on the phone and no one was behind the counter. I waited several minutes and no one came. I said “Hello?” and the lady replied “I am on the phone. I said “Can someone help me??” She replied, under her breath, “They wait in line at Zadees, yet they can’t wait here..” I told her that I don’t shop at Zadees and she shouldn’t be so nasty to her customers. She finally got someone from the back to help me. I will never buy from this rude, nasty store again. If they can’t serve their customers, don’t open the doors!

Based on the limited items I ordered, Petak’s have very good food. I came specifically for the Knish (ordered both the regular and the Kasha, which had just came out from the oven), and also ended up getting the egg salad. I was not disappointed at all. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and accommodating – he patiently answered my questions about the food items in the display case. What can I say; I may have been a bit nosy about it all. The restaurant has the appearance of a very local restaurant, but don’t let that put you off.

Food is decent. But buyer beware! They will rip you off if they think you don’t know prices. $17 for a large soup with matza balls. Should be a 1/3 of that
