Good, wholesome, old-school with a twist fashion diner. Great to take the kids, or go by yourself or on a date. Has great hostess and adequate waitresses. The food is the best and better than a buffet, and you save more per dollar as well. {Even over Chambersburg Diner}

I don’t write a lot of reviews but here it goes. As a server it’s your job to look at the appearance of your food if it does not look good then ask the kitchen to remake the food. My partners food was not cooked properly. The egg was half over fried and the other half was barely cooked. We tried telling them that and they argued with us. I’m sorry but if the food is burnt or doesn’t looked cooked in the same dish there is something wrong in the kitchen. We waited a good amount of time as well. My omelette the vegetables on top were burnt as well. The Perkins in Gettysburg is way better. Than this one.

This is my second time to this Perkins Restaurant (Chambersburg) and the service of Assistant General Manager Desirae Robinson is outstanding. Desirae sets the tone for the entire staff and she does everything. But it’s her pleasant demeanor, calm voice and bright smile that set her apart. Having worked in the service industry, traveled across the country and grow up in New York City, I’ve been exposed to so many people, and Desiree’s treatment of people and her attention to detail is by far the best I’ve encountered. A treasure in the middle of Pennsylvania.

This was our first visit here since Covid and we stopped here as we were visiting my daughter and her family and we like the Perkins. Since it was early evening,it was not busy. We were seated quickly.Our server,Lily,was delightful and was very efficient. We like the roast turkey dinner with real mashed potatoes. The grilled asparagus was tough but the green beans with bacon was good. Nice turkey slices but the turkey gravy was not the same as the Perkins in Harrisburg.
