I love their coffee, but some of the staff is beyond rude, & management seems to be lacking. Phone lines wouldn’t go through one day…my company tried to call in a bigger order for the next day, so we sent a person to Perk to order in person and pay ahead. The person at the window told us that the best way to handle this was to order and pay on the app, so we did. Come through at 7:00 am the next day when the order was supposed to be ready & it wasn’t because they couldn’t find it. We were (with attitude) told that “for future reference, the best way to do large orders like this is to come through the drive thru, order and pay in advance because they NEVER check the app!”

March 19 2023, never had a complaint with Perk until today. The girl that waited on me was incredibly rude. The other staff refused to tell me her name. I’d say 30ish, chunky build, long dyed black hair, Strawberry Shortcake top (of all outfits she could have wore, she chose that).. She was obviously new at her job because she had no idea how to ring up my coffee. I was shocked at how rude she was. She poured water onto my brand new jeep in 30 degree weather saying they have a problem with bees outside the drive thru window…I’ll never go to Perk again just so I don’t have to deal with her.

I hope this is a fair review or observation . I’ve been here several different times since opening. The staff are always kind and polite. During the fall/winter their best item was their hot chocolate. Their coffee is subpar if we are comparing price/taste to Dunkin or Starbucks. The drive thru doesn’t seem effective and contributes to a lot of the wait. Aside from the drive thru, the staff appear to be overwhelmed even with 1-2 cars in the line also contributing to wait time. My most recent experience the staff did not appear to know the menu. I ordered a Hawaiian breeze ( red lotus drink) and I received a blue drink instead. In my opinion The Drink Shop in Mt. Sterling seems to have a better handle on the lotus/coffee shop trend. Best of luck to Perk Co though!

We really liked the coffee here and the prices are more reasonable than a certain national chain. The only minor complaint was that they could not add additional flavor to our mocha because the machine pre-mixes it. The drink was great as-is, but other coffee shops we have been to are able to add additional ‘pumps’ of flavor. Like I said, it’s a minor thing, and we will definitely come back here when we are in the area again.
