The Jack Daniels French onion soup was divine. Husband loved the stir fry. We ate in the bar area, but the whole house is beautiful, Victorian details everywhere. Lovely atmosphere, great food. Highly recommend.

The salted caramel cheesecake was so good! We also liked the ginger lime salmon and the Margherita shrimp. Also, good local beer on draft. Restaurant is in an old house. Outdoor seating. Only negatives were that our water glasses were small and didn’t get filled as soon as we would have liked, and they were only accepting cash as their credit/debit was down. Otherwise, great!

Alani was an incredible waitress! That being said,I’m 6’3 & couldn’t put my knees under the table. We ordered the fried pickle appetizer,I got the Cave Man Club with house fries, and my wife got soup & 1/2 of a chicken salad sandwich & unknowingly,an $8 piece of Key Lime Cheesecake. Our meal was $58 for lunch! She had tea & I had water.

Stopped in for lunch for the first time at this location. Our server was wonderful; she was very friendly and attentive. The good was good…our table had the shrimp margherita and the backbone rock and were both very pleased with our choices. We also could not leave without at least a take out slice of tres leches cake. Super good!

It took 2 hours for the 6 of us to eat. After being seated, it was 45 minutes to get our drinks, and 1 hour to get our salads. The salads were good. Just about everyone thought there entrées were below average. Mine, the Chicken Nantucket was terrible. Chicken very dry, and th we receive was no scampi aspect to it. I have been a long time customer, not anymore.

Service can vary considerably but the food and atmosphere are consistently great. One of my go-to places in Abingdon. The Tavern is the other but it only opens at 5 and typically need reservations. Peppermill is always welcoming!

Average and nothing special. I had chicken salad sandwich and a bowl of French onion soup. The sandwich was okay…. I couldn’t eat the soup…. It was very watery, no cheese at all and didn’t taste like onion soup. This meal was filling…. Nothing more. I’m disappointed in the other ratings and can’t understand how people rated this restaurant so high…. Maybe they changed ownership and/or just lost interest in providing good quality food…. I wouldn’t return or recommend them to anyone….
