I ordered 3 meals to go. The prices were good. $40 . Large portions! Our food was great! I had a lobster tail in my seafood delight. Everything tasted wonderful. We all agreed that it was probably the best around here. The cashier was nice. BUT it took 30 minutes to get my food . The atmosphere was awful. Turn on the radio or something. I will go back , but I will call my order in first!

THIS IS THE PLACE that you are looking for- don’t let the no-frills look of the restaurant fool you! I’m not exaggerating when I say Peking Gourmet is the best Chinese take-out that I have ever had. Our food was so delicious and fresh. The vegetables in my fried rice had an unexpectedly incredible grilled flavor. The chicken in my wife’s Chicken with Cashew was perfectly crispy, even the next day when reheated for leftovers. And the leftovers! The portions are so generous that you will have enough for later when you are craving more of this appetizing cuisine. I wonder if the proximity of Peking to the Asian Market has anything to do with the tastiness of their food? Whatever is is, they are doing it right.

Usually everything is on point and amazing, best in North Charleston. That’s no longer my opinion after ordering tonight and my child couldn’t eat her favorite food because the stuff we ordered was extremely over fried. Maybe next time will be better. I’ll change my review then.

Best Chinese food around by far. I only go to Charleston once every few months but when I go, I always get food from here to take home. They have taken great precautions to not spread or catch the Corona virus. They have contained the kitchen to the point where you never come in contact with them. There is no dining in, only takeout. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed. And trust me when I say I am extremely critical when it comes to my food!

Thought it was same ownership as the goose creek one I like but is different owner. Ordered the sweet and sour pork and chicken with shrimp and pork fried rice and I smelled a scorched smell. Automatically I knew they cooked the rice in too hot of oil. Smelled and tasted burnt. Will stick with goose creek one. Never had burnt taste with them in over 40 orders with them in the past.

The Best of the best! Been going since starting around 2012-2013 and it’s 2020 making this review. Great customer service, Great “authentic” food, Great food textures if your picky like me, Never had any problems. They are on top of everything and hands down work “Very hard” every single day. I Highly recommend them to see if their style of food is your cup of tea!

One of my and my husband’s go to places to get takeout on the weekend when we lived in South Carolina. Delicious Chinese food and the portion sizes were huge for the price. My go to order was usually deep fried cheese wontons, baby fried shrimp with fries, and general tso’s chicken with fried rice and egg drop soup. Sometimes I got lo mein. My husband would usually get white rice and beef and broccoli or, if i recall correctly, szechuan beef and egg drop soup as well. We’d also get deep fried donuts. I really miss eating here and the cooks and cashiers were very kind. I hope to be able to eat here again one day.

I had a favorite Chinese restaurant years ago. I moved away for 7 years and came back to see my favorite spot closed down. I’ve been home for a year and had bad luck with every Chinese restaurant I found. But this place! This place I went to one day last week because it was the first place that popped up in the nearby area. Long story longer—the boneless spare ribs are better than my favorite spot I use to go to. I screamed when I ate the first bite saying, “I have a new favorite Chinese restaurant!” My friend laughed at me and said, “It can’t be that good!” It’s so good I came back tonight, and guess what? The food is even better than the first time! Go here!
