This place is about average. The booths were aged and dirty. The food was average Chinese food. The service was good. Not a bad experience but I won’t return. I did enjoy the eggrolls. But that was the highlight.

The starter was okay but late. The waiter threw straws across the table at me when I asked for a straw, They never offered any tea with the meal nor offered chop sticks to eat with. The sauté spinach was bitter. The waiter blocked my exit from the table by placing a server stand and large round tray beside my exit and didn’t move it the entire time we ate, which I considered a safety hazard. I asked for lemon aide, and the waiter brought seltzer water and hardly sweetened lemon flavoring, which I could not drink. When the waiter dished out the soup to each person he filled our white guest’s bowl with extra meat and shrimp and filled it to the rim, but gave me and my son mostly broth and little meat and shrimp with the bowl filled 3/4 full. The waiter dished up the leftovers for other tables but only left take out containers on our table for us to do it ourselves. Right after lesving the bill, the waiter forced sample ice cream on us with a grape tomatoe on top.The ice cream was frozen so hard it could be scraped from the container with the mini, thin and flimsy plastic spoon he handed us. We left it on the table. When bringing the electronic bill tablet, the waiter pressed the tip he wanted to receive rather than allow me to choose based on our rating of their service. The nerve. That was enough, and I was fed up…

We have been dining at this restaurant almost since the time we moved to Capistrano Beach in 1998. Since my wife’s illness over the past 5 years, we have been mostly ordering to go. This time, we paid $85.00 for 4 special items plus white & brown rice. We didn’t receive one of the items nor did we receive some Chinese hot mustard, which was a special request. When the bag of food was picked up, we were assured that everything was included. Obviously, it wasn’t. When we called the restaurant about the problem, they suggested that we come back to pick it up. We told them that we didn’t live around the corner and we already had guests sitting at the table. She offered to remove the missing item from the credit card. We said fine but felt that some inconvenience penalty was needed. We suggested $5. She said no and I said that we won’t be coming back. She said, “Don’t come back”. Then after coming to the table, I discovered that the order was wrong in that we were given a specialty item with hot peppers when I specifically stated that I wanted the non-spicy version. These are new owners I understand, perhaps not for long.
