The things we order, was not what they bring, only the churros where fantástico. There was some people screaming on the other side for a minute I stand up and look around for a bar, that’s where I was thinking we where. Wife asked no cheese on the food, because medication, she got cheese. I asked for steak and eggs, got no eggs.

This family owned restaurant in California’s Central Valley in a farming community in Chowcilla offers authentic Mexican fare prepared by the uncle, the waitresses are a mother and daughter team, and also includes a son and father who helps out as well. The ambiance is fair and decorated with Mexican curtains separating each booth and lots of odds and ends and various other items. sprinkled throughout. The food is pretty good, but not great! I will say that their fried cauliflower cooked in this wonderful tasting macha sauce was to die for. It was nice and spicy and the cauliflower was cooked just right. It’s a must try. Yummy!!! However, bad news regarding my hubby’s dish of chili verde, while tasty, he crunched down on egg shells. Not good. I think chef uncle must of had a hard night the night before and lost his concentration. I ordered the waffle without the strawberry sauce and when I got my order, what do you think was the first thing I saw? You guessed it, plenty of strawberry sauce. I decided not to send the order back and just scraped off all the strawberry sauce. I also liked the fact that this restaurant had a very good habanero hot sauce which I have never seen at any other restaurant. Would I return to this restaurant in the future? Yes! I think so. It is truly a family owned business that is worth supporting.

Great selection and delicious food, try the birria plate, you won’t be disappointed! Beans and rice were flavorful and perfectly cooked, birria was on point!!! My girl loves their strawberry banana french toast, burgers are good and BIG; turkey bacon avocado melt was huge and so, so yummy… Give them a try, lots of new menu items!

Good food. I had breakfast burrito which was LARGE, filled with potatoes eggs cheese sausage and beans. Yum! Fresh made to order. Friend had ‘ultimate dip’. (Both pics are of 1/2 meals).

Food was absolutely fantastic! Prices are reasonable. All staff were very attentive and helped all tables, not just those in their area. Only critique I have is the strawberry lemonade is fresh but tastes very watered down.

We wanted fajitas and a traditional mexican dish other than tacos or tostados along with a beer. We had no luck at El Grullense across the street s well as another place alog the way but Pedros had it all. The food was good along with the service.
