Loved it! A very popular spot on a Saturday night. Fish was superb, surf and turf was excellent and not at all over priced. Side dishes were the icing on the cake. Simple but effective Dauphinoise potatoes, carrots with wholegrain mustard etc. Had a great bottle of wine – and range of desserts were fab too. A really warm and friendly service to cap it all off. Will definitely come again as we are local.

We had a lovely meal at Paysanne with excellent service. It’s a small restaurant so do book ahead. Our favourite dish was the mushroom starter but everything was very good. We paid £50 per head (including tip) for 3 courses and a half litre carafe of wine. Will be coming back here

Cozy local restaurant, nice decoration and exquisite music to enjoy the provincial French cuisine. I loved the “special Cod with cheese crust”. My husband ask for a Malbec bottle and it was great. Our dinner was late so we only share pear with wine as a dessert (simple, light but still delicious). The service was nice and warm. 100% recommended!

Lovely gem of a restaurant. The food was delicious and cooked on site. This was one of the best restaurant meals we have had for a long time. Many customers seem to have come several times. I enjoyed it so much i forgot to take some photos.but here is a desert.

We were delighted when staying in a nearby Airbnb that Cai was able to squeeze us in last minute on Saturday night. What a treat! Beautiful french food, lovely atmosphere and a knowledgeable and friendly host. The option to order a carafe of wine is always greatly appreciated also. Highly recommend.

We had our dinner here after a long hike. The food was incredibly delicious, the service was so so great. The waiter who served us is very friendly and hilarious, his French is so cute! The snail was amazing, so was the crabs. Would love to come back again 🙂 lovely Paysanne. 10/10.

Booked a 8:15 slot & given a very acceptable position to sit & enjoy the fabulous meal that awaited us …
Cai & staff are superb at delivering a chilled , warm & friendly environment to relax & enjoy their menu …
We both had the generously proportioned bury black pudding as a starter .. really tasty followed by the Salmon & Steak as Mains .. both delicious.. may i add your made to feel very relaxed & enjoy the evening which is a compliment to the owners …
We finished off the meal with Creme brulee .. again delicious…
We chose a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignion blanc which was spot on to drink with the food ..
I highly recommend this lovely unique restaurant run by highly efficient owners & staff .. well done .
