Tasty spot. 1st time visiting Shreveport and we found this gem. Pollo guisado was superb. Mofongitos delicious. I didn’t take a picture of the food while there but leftovers were so good. There was a party for someone going on and my daughter and I got to dance.

Wonderful meal. Service was good as only a few patrons were inside after 1PM. The best jerk chicken I’ve had. Atmosphere is lacking but the food definitely makes up for it.
5 stars for food!
4 stars for atmosphere.
Will definitely be back to try other options on the menu.

We visited in celebration of my 38th birthday and I must say Sabores Dominican Bar & Grill did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious. You can tell it was cooked with pride and love. We ordered Jerk Chicken w/ white rice and beans, and Oxtails w/ yellow rice and peas. We were surprised to see a serving of the most delicious pasta salad on our plates as well. The flavors in each dish had us craving more and more. Make sure you order the Passion Fruit juice with your meal! The prices were fair and the portion sizes were perfect! It reminded me of how grandmothers try to overfeed you at family gatherings. The service was quick and friendly! Nicole was our hostess/waitress and she gave us some suggestions on what to order since we were inexperienced with ordering Dominican style food. Her suggestions did not disappoint. We left we full bellies and cannot wait to return with friends.

Wow stumbled upon this place while visiting downtown Shreveport. Best decision we could have ever made! Food was cooked to order and very flavorful I wish I could tell you what I got but it was in Spanish and I saw a picture and showed them what I wanted! The food was outstanding!!! The yellow rice was so good and the black beans we got for my daughter was flavorful!! My husband loved his chicken and the pinto beans were out of this world good! They had a passion fruit juice I really enjoyed and couldn’t get off. I highly recommend and will probably go back before we head out! AMAZING PLACE!!! Nichole was our server and she was just as lovely as can be!

The food was great! We tried the beef, chicken and vegetable pastelitos for an appetizer. We would definitely get the beef and chicken again. The green salsa is very flavorful – garlicky with some spice. The Cuban sandwich was very good and cheesy. The bread was nice and crispy on the outside. There wasn’t a lot of meat on it, but I didn’t mind. The fried plantains were also very good. The star of the meal was the jerk chicken. Like another review said, it’s not sweet and it’s not too spicy like some jerk chicken can be. Definitely go for the moro (seasoned rice and peas) as a side. The passion fruit mojito was killer and unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of that.

So, the only negatives were that they were out of ginger ale for the mixed drink I ordered and the avocados weren’t ripe enough to make the guacamole for the dish I wanted. That said, I appreciate that they didn’t try to serve me unripe avocados. Also, I had read that they are a little slow and they were, but they certainly weren’t unreasonable and everything came out hot and fresh. I’m glad to wait a little for hot food. Finally, our server was friendly and very attentive. Please go try this place. We’ll definitely be back.

This place is phenomenal!

It boggles my mind why they are not more busy than they are.

The food is excellent. I’m partial to the Cuban sandwich, but we’ve also had the sampler appetizer. Everything was absolutely amazing. The food is all cooked fantastically and seasoned perfectly. And the prices are fair!

This is a hidden gem in the Shreveport/Bossier restaurant scene. The menu is mostly in Spanish, but the waitresses are happy to help you understand what each item is.

Treat yourself and enjoy a really good meal!

This was my first time trying Dominican food. Order the oxtail. You won’t regret it. The portion was huge! My photo does it no justice. It was so so tender. The flavor was so amazing! I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about any of it, but the meal I ordered easily made this a place I will begin to frequent.
