Hi everyone! We’re the Matar family – Jacques, Alina, and our little ones, George and Theodore. I’ve been a pastry chef since 2015, and Alina joined me in the kitchen when we first met. Since then, we’ve been inseparable, building our dreams together. Now, with our two boys by our side, our family – and our passion for baking – keeps growing. We’re new to the country, but our hearts are full of excitement for this new chapter. We can’t wait to share our journey with you!

The positives, delicious croissants, felt like I was in France! Delicious, buttery and flaky!
The negatives, not many options and no breads….a bakery should definitely have breads!
Also, only 2 croissants for savory options, one is a cheese croissant and the other is feta and spinach croissants. Both very delicious but it would be nice to have more options, ham and cheese, turkey and cheese
Coffee was good!
Will definitely have to try the downtown location next time!

The customer service, food, and coffee was all AMAZING!!! Sergej took our order and was very lovely. We got 3 pastries. The pistachio raspberry croissant, the cinnamon roll with custard on the side, and the creme brûlée bambaloni. All three were so delicious, and were even bigger in person than what they looked like online! All had perfect levels of sweetness. We also got 3 coffees. The shaken espresso, the tiramisu amaretto latte, and the cinnamon pistachio latte. Each of us loved our coffees and our pastries. 10/10 all around!

This bakery felt straight out of a dream! I ordered a croissant and a chocolate croissant and the food was both delicious and fresh. You can tell each pastry is baked with care and love, and the bakery had such an authentic European feel! It was so aesthetic in there, definitely will be coming back.

Paul & Jack Bakery is truly one of my favorite bakeries in the area (real european-quality pastries and honestly, some of their creations rival (and even surpass) what I’ve tasted in Paris!

My absolute favorites are the guava pastries, the cheese croissants, the carrot cake, and the honey cake, which tastes incredibly authentic and perfectly balanced. And the baklava cheesecake is simply WOW – definitely a must try

Both locations Wake Forest and Downtown are wonderful

It’s always very clean and cozy, and the customer service is consistently warm, attentive, and friendly. I can really feel the care they put into both the food and the guest experience. Love the vibe

Highly recommend stopping by if you love high-quality pastries and a cozy café atmosphere!

Their desserts and pastries were amazing. The baklava cheesecake was so yummy. They also had unique coffee flavors which we liked. We’re excited to try more of their food next time.

I actually make special trips to Wake Forest, from Florida, every year, JUST to go to Paul & Jack for their whipped chocolate ganache croissants. The absolute BEST I’ve ever had ANYWHERE. (It has become a hobby to find the highest rated bakeries and try chocolate filled croissants in every city I travel to). When Paul and Jack say “filled” with chocolate, that is completely accurate. I now hold every other “filled” croissant to Paul & Jack’s standard. It’s not just a small ribbon like every other place that calls it “filled”. P&J’s are filled end to end, top to bottom, with the most delicious fillings. You will never cut it open or bite into the end and find yourself disappointed or feeling cheated at what you find inside. So, If you find yourself in the Raleigh/Durham NC area, do yourself (and your tastebuds) a favor and make the short drive to Wake Forest, NC and go have an incredible croissant or one of their numerous other delicious cakes or pastries. Each one is amazing, but my absolute favorite is hands down, the Whipped chocolate ganache croissant. The photo I uploaded is only HALF of a chocolate croissant and the other half was filled just as much.

Paul and Jack is our favorite spot to spend a Saturday morning grabbing a bomboloni and coffee or a midweek tiramisu pick-me-up. But they are so much more than just your everyday bakery!

When my fiancé and I decided we wanted a millefoglie for our wedding cake, we hoped Paul and Jack would be open to the idea. Thankfully, Jack was on board and worked with us to ensure our cake would be perfect for our big day.

And wow—did they deliver! Our millefoglie cake was the highlight of our night, and all of our guests still have not stopped talking about it. The pastry chef and the team from Paul and Jack were so kind, intentional in their craft, and dedicated to making sure our day was absolutely perfect. I will be dreaming about this cake for the rest of my life. Not only did it look stunning, but it tasted even better! We truly cannot thank Paul and Jack enough for giving us our dream wedding cake and going above and beyond for us!

Hello cappuccino lovers , non coffee chain lovers , cafe lovers . My first time here after a dental appointment . I ordered a regular cappuccino one pump tiramisu and amaretto combination
Very foamy very well done not over sweet
Just right.
I will come back when in town !!!!! Wish I lived close.
Nice small seated ambiance… Christmas tree up.
Lots of bakery items .
DAY 2- was 10 minutes away and decided to come back .
This time a different male barista was greeting me, with a pleasant demeanor !
Kind genuine professional customer service.
Recommendations, no feeling that I am bothering them or they are annoyed or are in any rush , there was no line at this time , I got a small cappuccino 2% milk , 1 1/2 pumps of butter cookie ; dash of cinnamon, the barista actually listened well and put a dash… we laughed at the fact that he did exactly what I asked for :).
I got another apple pie, this time heated it up at home, very good!! Homemade like my grandmother would make! I don’t eat a ton of junk food, I like quality food and pay for just that.
I will be back.
One SUPERIOR ADDITION TO THE COFFEE TAKEOUT EXPERIENCE- they provide cups that are unique , they are brown, they have a scan here place, which takes you to a website for more info, COMPOSTABLE, this is WHY my drink tastes of good quality as a travel cup, stays warm for 45 minutes of my drive, AND STAYS FOAMY!!! Amazing.
I fully support healthier items that have an affect on our health and the taste . Yay!!! Keep it up !!!!!! BRAVO.

It’s a hidden Gem in Raleigh. I’ve been coming here since it opened. Love the bread and pastries they have, coffee is very good and the barista is so proficient in the art with service quick and friendly. They just opened a branch in downtown Raleigh, check that out.
