Some absolutely fantastic pasta. The sides were pretty good but the sandwiches needed something. Just note that the main entires don’t come with a side. So if you order the sandwich, that’s all you get.

Patina is the latest (Summer 2023) addition to the sprawling Basic City industrial complex. Once again, they’ve transformed an aging industrial/mechanical space into something modern and sleek. Kind of like when I use hair gel and wear black skinny pants.

We went here for a light dinner tonight and the food was fine but the service left something to be desired. We were a party of three, my wife ordered a pasta dish and her sister and myself ordered Greek salads. Out come two Caesar salads. We were fine with keeping them. Our waiter never came back to check on us and if we needed until we were done. There was only one other table that was occupied so their was no excuse to mess up the order or check back with us. Our tip reflected the service but I’m sure the waiter won’t get it.

We had dinner with a couple of friends. The server was nervous but did a great job! The meals were of mixed reviews among us. My meal was the Risotto Beef Cerchio. Tasted great and a sizable portion. We enjoyed a bottle of red wine and a well rounded charcuterie board. I highly recommend it.

Pasta is easy, sauce is not. The red sauce on angel hair was out of this world. The price point is affordable, and the atmosphere is quirky and fun. I will be a weekly patron without a doubt.
