I have to say Pasta Amore is one of the best restaurants downtown! Montana and Caesar are the best! I’ve loved everything I’ve ever had, especially the Caesar salad and key lime pie! The atmosphere is great for any family!

Stopped in during the 2nd Saturday Street Festival. Had a super tasty Caesar salad and an Electric Lemonade that hit the spot! Great service, too. Will definitely be back.!

Cute restaurant with the majority of the items made from scratch in house. The Alfredo sauce is delicious and it’s not heavy kind that makes you regret life decisions once you’re done eating. The chicken for the chicken parmesean is well tenderized and the desserts are delicious (we actually tried 3 of them).

First let me say that this WAS my hands down favorite place to eat downtown. I have always had great experiences, but this one was so bad that it outweighed that. I arrived at 6:15pm. We sat outside and waited to be greeted. Normally, if a restaurant has outside seating, we’ll go in to let them know we’ve sat, but this establishment is known for running people off from the PUBLIC SEATING AREA if you sit there and aren’t eating, so we figured we’d be approached. In addition, there were two other tables eating outside so we knew we’d have to see a server eventually. 10 minutes goes by and we go inside looking for help. We’re given menus by one lady and then five minutes later our “server” arrived, ready to take our entire order. I explained that we’d had five minutes with the menu and had some questions. She expressed how much she did not have the time for our questions and that she was entirely too busy with her “20 top”. My partner feeling as if our presence was an inconvenience to the BUSINESS, closed his menu and offers to leave. She quickly begins to backpedal and apologize so we decided to give it another chance. Another 10 minutes goes by before she ever approaches us again to take our order. FINALLY we put in our order and we wait. At 8:30pm we received our food. That’s OVER TWO HOURS FOR PASTA AND STEAK! We get our check and she wants us to walk it in to pay instead of her taking out check. She then has the audacity to ask me and my partner if we are serves (implying that our attitude was from a lack of understanding). In addition to all that, when ordering, she would ask “Caesar or house salad” as if it was included. Then I see that we were all charged for those salads AND a service fee. AFTER WAITING OVER 2 hours! We didn’t leave until 8:45pm! When she finally brought our food she said “ this is what happens when you eat in downtown statesville on a Saturday”. As if we don’t eat downtown every weekend! Here’s the thing, there’s no reason it should have taken so long. There’s no reason for her attitude because we wanted to eat and had questions about the menu. We ALL tip $20+ on our $20 ticket EVERY TIME. So I would recommend before judging and being rude with your customers, you consider that they keep the business open. Treating your community as if they are an inconvenience will not leave a great taste in people’s mouth. Pun intended.

Food is usually good, but they charge extra for everything and not like a normal add on charge, they double the cost of your meal to add broccoli. The service is TERRIBLE, I mean awful every time. We went every once in a while because the food is made to order and it’s delicious. But this was the last time, after the waitress snatched the menus out of my hand, dropped salad in my lap, and charged me double because they had to remake my order. This place is an absolute joke! No wonder they’re going out of business.

My wife and I sat down today to give the place a shot because Mezzaluna’s, our normal go-to Italian restaurant in Statesville, was closed. The first clue that told me we were in for a bad experience was that the place was a ghost town at 5:30pm. We were literally the only customers in the place from the time we sat down until we left. The second clue was their health inspection score being a 90, which I discovered through online research on my phone was due to several violations, such as an employee not washing their hands after going out to the dumpster, cross-contaminations issues, PIC not ServSafe certified, and temperature holding issues. This is public information anyone can look up through a simple Google search.

Let’s start with the bread…it was crisp, like a cruton, no soft part about it. The salad was okay, one slice of tomato and one slice of cucumber, the ranch dressing was not good. I ordered the veal, my wife ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, both were bland at best, my sauce (gravy) was sour and not worth the money or sending back. Had a tough time keeping the Fruit Flies off my food. The only thing I truly liked was the unsweetened Arnold Palmer made with fresh squeezed lemonade, but with no free refills. Suffice to say I won’t be visiting this place again.

Really nice people and tasty, classic food. This place is great because they let you sit and enjoy your courses and you don’t feel like you’re being rushed out the door. We previously lived in Germany and it reminded us of the down home neighborhood Italian restaurants there.

This is my second time eating here and it was phenomenal. The absolute best salmon I’ve ever had. The veggies were cooked to perfection. The salad had the freshest lettuce I’ve gotten on a salad in ages. The owner is such a pleasant man and super accommodating. Willing to modify any dish for my wheat allergy. I will visit again. Plus the view in downtown Statesville is amazing in the spring.
