The location is prime and the outside setting is perfect. (Remember what I said about location) it could use a awning to keep the sun off you while ordering. The attendant at the window was extremely nice and accommodating. I ordered the curry chicken rice/beans w cabbage. When I open the plate to look at it, I knew I was in trouble, the curry chicken was brown..not yellow. The cabbage was(I hate to say this) was just boiled in h20. Which was perfect for me because I have hi blood pressure and the complete meal had not been seasoned. Beans and rice? It tasted pretty good. Being from Charlotte, I don’t like spicy food, but I had to add hot sauce to the chicken, because no kick whatsoever was present. Well cooked however. On their behalf, the restaurant caters to……. them folks. The store is downtown and we all know their food is bland. But that’s where the money is so I don’t blame them. Forget keeping it authentic…get that money. Capitalism at it’s best. Would I go again? absolutely. You just don’t give up on a place because of one meal. I look forward to my next meal. Thanks Pasches Island!

Went to this restraunt and ordered two different plates of food. Unfortunately it took more than 40 minutes for my food to come out wich is excessive imo. The taste of the food was on point though. Everything tasted great to me and the best part was the flavored brown rice. The prices seemed high but looking back I think you are going to have to pay a premium for carribian food anywhere in Augusta.

The food was mediocre.I ordered curry chicken, red beans and rice, cabbage, and Mac and cheese. That food was NOT authentic Caribbean cuisine, and I’m highly disappointed. When I opened, my plate, I knew the food wasn’t going to be to my liking, but at that time, it was already paid for. The red beans and rice looked like Spanish rice with beans, and the cabbage tasted like it was cooked from frozen. The Mac and cheese was not good either, you can tell it was sitting all day, and it lacked flavor. FIRST and LAST time I’ll be eating there.

The food at Pasche’s Island Soul looks and tastes great! It was my first time eating there. I had the Chana Aloo Curry (vegan) and Brown Stew Chicken, both with flatbread. I will definitely be a repeat customer. They are a “must try”!

Love the Caribbean vibe & music! Very nice sitting in the shade with a breeze in the afternoon. Felt like I was a world away! (especially being 1 block away from Broad St & Greene St). GREAT vegetarian options too, with generous portions. Very tasty.

There is no way this place should be called a Caribbean or Island restaurant. The chef at this establishment needs better training in how Caribbean/Island food tastes & should be made.

I got the jersey chicken and it is flavorful, the rice and peas are pretty good, not very spicy, the cabbage is slightly sweet. Overall, nothing was very salty which I completely appreciate. I am disappointed in the sorrel drink, it tasted more like fruit punch and didn’t have much of a bite and I actually came here specifically for the drink. Other than that, the service was great, and it had outdoor seating.

This is an amazing little place! The food tastes fresh, the employees are kind and helpful, and it’s in beautiful downtown Augusta! The only reason I give it a 4 star is it has a food truck vibe and I just wish it was a sit down place. Other than that, it’s super good.

I eat here frequently as it is so close to work. I have ordered most things on the menu, and I have never been disappointed. Vegan options are incredible! Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable! I can’t wait until the dining room opens.
