We finally visited Parnham and I wish we had come so much sooner, and allowing the chef to feed us as he pleases was the best decision we made. There was a wonderful progression from the light fresh starters to the deep rich mains, and the jus served over the steak was absolutely stunning. The selection of meats and compliments is second to none, and the ability to cook beef blue but have it so tender and flavoursome is a proponent of the ingredient quality they strive for. It has easily entered the magic circle of restaurants in this area of Dorset, and I hope my irrelevant but consistent attendance aids them to huge success in the future.

Set in the walled garden of Parnham Park, this restaurant is visually stunning. The food is based around sharing plates, and is seasonal and, mostly, locally sourced.

Visited here for a romantic meal on Valentines day. Lovely place, but it was cold until they got me a blanket and heater. The food was ok, but the menu was very limited and small portions for the price. The veggie sides were very disappointing, the cabbage was a cold dish with a hot meal, the broccoli was almost raw. We were brought someone else’s order before we got ours and we order drinks with our desserts that never came. We were meant to be on our table for 2 hours, but got asked to move to the bar after an hour and a half.
We will not be going back in a hurry. Very disappointed

From the moment you arrive you are transported to the most magical place, it feels like another world and that’s before you’ve even arrived at the restaurant. The service, food & atmosphere is just perfect and would absolutely recommend it to all.

We had a wonderful evening in a fantastic setting at this gorgeous country house.
The service was great – we appreciated being told the ethos of the cooking approach (dishes are brought to the table as they’re ready) and this helped inform our selections. Chef Robin, in addition to being very talented, was very approachable and happy to talk to us about the dishes he’d made. Highlights were the Hoggett, Cuttlefish, scallop sashimi (all the pinxtos were great), mushrooms & potatoes. We all agreed this was one of those meals and occasions we will remember for a long, long time. Will return very soon.
