Clean, friendly, fast, genuinely service minded staff, and oh, no flies.
So, I just went in for a Almond croissant and coffee, which are very tasty I must add, but I got a new FAV NOW….the Almond pastry, weekly bucket listed.
I wonder if I can get it warmed up next time.

Every time I come to Castro Street, I stop here. Outstanding pastries and a nice atmosphere. I’m a fan of Biscoff Cookies, so I had to try one of their creations. It did not disappoint.

I stopped in because I had about $8 on me and didn’t want to use my card. I was happy when I saw this place because I’m quite familiar with PB since I’ve got a “home” one on Brokaw Road not too far from where I live.

I got a croissant with a hot dog in it, and was surprised it was about $2 cheaper than at my “home” PB. While they heated it, I had time to look over the coffee menu, and all the coffees were $1-$2 cheaper than my “home” PB.

And Castro Street in Mountain View is not famed for cheapness! Google is just up the street, and many of that tiny per cent of tech workers who actually make “tech worker pay” live and work around here.

I’m impressed!

On July 28, 2025, at around 8:00 PM, I visited Paris Baguette. I observed multiple flies landing on the bread displayed in the case.

I requested to speak with the manager regarding this issue, but the staff stated that no manager was present and refused to address or remove the contaminated food from display.

This is a serious food safety concern, and I request an immediate inspection of the facility.

Fast service! Fresh pastries and a huge variety. We had a chai tea that was a bit milky and low on the tea flavor, but still had a good flavor. Mochi donuts were fresh and tasty. The place is clean and can clear a line quickly.

Limited vegan options. Only found two items which were good. If they had vegan pastries or cakes etc. would have liked it more.

I’ve been to this Paris Baguette many times, usually for drinks & other times for the pastries. If you’ve been to other locations, then this one is pretty similar.

I have some friends who enjoy the espresso & other drinks (using Lavazza coffee beans), but I’ve only ever found them “good” at best. My highlights include the cookie butter and chocolate hazelnut drinks, while the hot chocolate and Korean iced milk coffee were let-downs. In downtown Mountain View, there are better places for coffee, but Paris Baguette is fine if you have promos and/or want to pick up the baked goods.

Speaking of them, there are a variety of sweet & savory items to choose, so you’ll probably find something you like. My favorites include the croissant donuts and cream breads, but I like to sample new things too.

Regarding ambiance, this location is pretty good, with ample seating & free Wi-Fi if you’d like to do some work. And then as for service, it’s also usually good but can vary depending on who’s at the counter. But I haven’t had any bad experiences.

I had a morning coffee with a friend. There’s a great variety of hot and cold drinks, baked goods and sandwiches. Everything is presented in a very delightful and inviting way.
Service is friendly and professional.

This is one of the coffee shops I occasionally visit to have a coffee and get some work done. The coffee is acceptable, and they offer a great selection of cookies and pastries, which are nice to have as a snack. The environment is decent for working or relaxing, though their restrooms could definitely be cleaner. Overall, it’s a decent spot for a casual visit, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness.

Although it is a chain, the quality of the pastries is top notch. Service is great as the staff is helpful in picking out among all their sweets and the atmosphere is lively – pick a seat by the window if available to watch the people go by along Castro Street. I can’t remember if there was outdoor seating.
