This place is a down home legit pizza joint. We were welcomed by an excited employee. We placed our order and w/in 10 to 12 minutes, we had fresh and hot pizza. The Caesar salad was very light and refreshing. The meat pizza was on point. The meatballs and sauce were out of this world good. The prices are very reasonable. The lady bussing the tables was very nice and polite. Next time I’m in Galveston, I will be coming back here. Keep up the good work papas pizza

My husband, grandchildren and I loved eating at Papa’s Pizza. The pizzas were excellent! Our frozen drinks were too thick/icy so they were difficult to pour and drink through a straw, but they tasted great. Five stars because the pizza was so good that it didn’t matter! Excellent prices, for summer high season!

My husband and I started coming here over 12 years ago and now take our kids here. We love the pizza. This last time the girl behind the counter taking orders wasn’t rude but had no emotion when talking to you and looked like she could have cared less about being there. Did not go in the restroom but the seating was area was clean minus a napkin a little kid dropped walking to his table. As expected pizza was good but $30 for a one topping large pizza and 3 sodas, all the drinks from the machine were flat, is ridiculous. Next time we will take the pizza to go and would not order drinks. Over all I would recommend their pizza and will continue to be a custom I just do not think we will dine in next time.

Best pizza on the island! Stopped in for a late lunch and our pizza slices were made quickly and to order. Ordered 2 of the single slice specials, one cheese and one Meat Lovers giant slice, with thin crust. Both servings were more than enough for a lunch portion! Great service and great food – Will definitely eat here again!

We had some yummy pizza at Papa’s after splashing in the ocean for awhile. We had a great view of the water and the pizza was delicious! We’re from Chicago and this was a great find in Galveston! The owner was so friendly and grateful. We highly recommend it!

The pizza was quite overpriced, I got one slice for just under $10 if you choose the combo you get a drink and a slice for around $8, strange. The pizza was better than average pizza house pizza but not actually good. But their method of delivering you the food is awful. Normally if you order a slice of pizza, the pizza should be ready in advance so they just need to heat it for a minute. That was in fact the case here (kind of), the pizza slices were precooked, but instead of putting the slice in the oven as soon as you order they give you a number on a screen telling you approximately how long before your order is ready, in my case they gave me 16 minutes (for one slice of cheese). So I watched carefully, at the point of time that my number came up no one had touched that slice of pizza yet. It it then reset the clock and added 3 more minutes, after those 3 minutes expired I mentioned something to the staff about the fact that I’ve been there for 20 minutes waiting for 1 slice. An apparent Manager then took a slice out of a clear plastic container and put it in the oven for a few seconds and give it to me. Slices should not be on the same ordering system as general orders that have to be completely prepared.

Pizza and the shrimp alfredo are delicious. We always stop by when we are visiting Galveston. Plus it’s the best right after you’re done with the beach. The wings and fries are also a must have. It is a bit loud and always crowded when we come but we never miss coming here when we are in town.

Was told that this establishment rivals NYC pizza. I will say it comes very close!! Amazing flavor in the sauce and crust (great hints of garlic). Not a lot of flop on the crust. Decent crisp. The manager is excellent and I enjoyed having dough conversations with him. If you’re in the area, go for a slice…!

We’ve come here every year we’ve visited Galveston and we love it! Some of the pizzas are a tish greasy for my liking (but I’m really picky when it comes to that). Ordering is easy, parking can be a challenge but overall we really like this pizza place! We always get 2 large pizzas so we have leftovers for lunch, it’s great!
