This place COULD be great. It SHOULD be great. However, it isn’t. I don’t blame the staff one bit for this either. Their owners are not paying them. If they aren’t being paid and treated fairly, I can not see how they could take pride in their work, ensuring the orders are correct, timely, and as yummy as they should be. Due to their current work conditions, none of the above is being accomplished. Their owners, EYM Group are doing their employees and Amarillo a disservice and should be held accountable. I will return to this location once they have righted their wrongs and have PAID THEIR EMPLOYEES!

Food is great. But atmosphere is not what expected. No cashier. Order from kiosk, only 2 of 3 were working. Even though I ordered dine-in, my order was given to me in a bag. I ordered soup in bread bowl, Bread wasn’t even wrapped in plastic,just put in paper bag with cup of soup; however, it was precut to add soup easily. Dining room was clean and large, but strange to have no employees around. This place could be great with more employees and change of atmosphere.

Came here from out of town to visit family, and always have great experiences with Panera. However this location is sub par. Ordered a Margarita pizza, but it came out cold and without basil as advertised. Upon reading other reviews, this seems to be a common theme with this location. The manager came over and offered a refund, which was greatly appreciated, but still doesn’t erase the disappointment of the long wait and less then stellar food.

My family could not wait for Panera to final open in Amarillo, but like everyone else disappointment doesn’t come close to our experiences… BUT it has now “reopened” with a whole new staff, we decided to give it a try “one more time” and I can only say “Amarillo, we finally have a GREAT Panera Bread store”! Everything about it “food, staff, cleanliness…” is GREAT! I encourage you to give them one more chance, you’ll be pleasantly impressed!

The only reason this place is getting 1 star is because zero stars wasn’t an option. We waited through the drive through for about an hour and was dissatisfied and disappointed with the quality of this overpriced food. I ordered an avocado sandwich thinking it would be loaded and tasty from the picture on the menu and what i got back was mostly bread and barely any of what is in the middle of the sandwhich. When i looked through the drive through window, I noticed it was mostly high school kids goofing around and taking their sweet time. The wait time and price i paid was not worth me coming back and giving panera any of my business. Not to mention, my mom ordered a salad and they did not supply us with any utensils or napkins. The service was horrible and the workers acted as if they did not care. This place either needs new workers or needs to be under new management. It was overrated and i was unsatisfied with what i paid for. On positive note, the green goddess dressing is tasty.

We were excited for this place to finally open. For nearly two years there was a completed building with a huge mound of dirt in the parking lot. When it finally opened, we rushed over… oh, such a disappointment. The wait was long for cold food. How can a soup be cold? They barely removed the bread from the bread bowl and put in maybe 4 tablespoons of soup in there with a crazy amount of bread. Why? I decided to give it another go and was equally disappointed. After seeing several people, with similar meals, arrive after us and get there food before us I went up to the counter to figure out what’s wrong. I see the lady that brings out the food was sitting at a table, chatting people up, with my cold food sitting there. I asked if I could have the food and she pops up, says she will bring it. I ask so nice… please, it’s ok, I will just bring it… what does she do? She flips over two items on accident (I do believe it was on accident) onto the floor, herself, and even some on another customer! I was shocked and in disbelief. About 20 minutes later when my replacement food came out, it was cold. How can freshly made food be cold? For real, how? Panera will simply be a distant memory now, a place we have gone to elsewhere but will not go to again. Plenty of other options in town, and in that specific area, seek another place for nourishment.

Should be ashamed of the stores appearance. Weeds everywhere, overgrown grass, and dead trees. Hire a landscaping company to take care of this! You are on a main road! No wonder this location has 1.9 stars out of over 200 reviews. How can you care about food and customers when you don’t care about appearance.

This Panera may have experienced a rocky start, but I’m so pleased to say that the new management team has done a fine job smoothing out the rough edges. Please go give them another try. The food and atmosphere were wonderful, and the service was stellar!

This place doesn’t even cut close to Panera Bread standards; I have been to Panera Bread in three other states with excellent service and food. I ordered chips with grilled cheese burger, the chips tasted stale and old and the cheese also tasted very old. Not the panera bread food I am use to.
