I have been coming to this Panera about four days a week for the last two years. I can’t think of another establishment that has better earned the loyalty of their customers. They are consistently great at what they do and they have made me feel welcome as a regular for a very long time. Working third shift was a struggle to adjust to, eating dinner for breakfast and breakfast for dinner. I found it hard to find anything after my shift was over so early in the morning other than fast food which always made me feel terrible after I ate it. When I stumbled upon this Panera right down the road from my house I never stopped going. They have helped me get over my social anxiety of ordering because they never make me feel unwelcome or treat me as a weird person for ordering the same thing every day at the same time. I have never met an unkind staff member and they try their very best to make my order perfect every single time. On days when they are very busy in the morning and my order might get a little changed around, I can’t even be upset with them because it has helped me to try new things and even if it’s different it’s still delicious. I will be moving in less than a month to a different city and I think the thing I will miss the most will be this Panera Bread, who made me feel like I was a part of their family every time I came through the drive thru. I hope they continue to get increasing patronage, because they absolutely deserve it 🙂

I was so disappointed in the amount of green core stems versus lettuce. The chicken looked like it came directly out of a can. The price was too high for the quality of the meal. The strawberries were great and the poppy seed dressing was perfect.

I placed an online order for a smoothie and one iced coffee with caramel syrup, which was denoted in the ‘Customize’ section of the website. When I picked up my order inside the ice coffee cup was empty so I stood around and asked if I was to get it myself, a staff member told me yes then walked away. I waited again and asked the same member where the ice coffee was and she showed me. I had no problem retrieving my coffee myself, it makes sense because you don’t want the ice to melt, but there were no instructions or warning. There was also no caramel syrup to be found so I had to wait for the staff member again to ask for it, she said she would put it in a second cup and I said okay, no problem, thank you. She came back with actual caramel in a cup, I’m not familiar with Panera but I figured it would be the dissolvable syrup you find at other coffee joints. She informed me next time I need to identify when I order that I want caramel and they will have it in there beforehand. I asked if you do that in the customize section, she said yes, and I replied that I did do that. She told me okay, bye have a good day and I left. When I got back to my desk at work I attempted to whisk in the thick caramel all of which settled to the bottom of my coffee and stuck to my straw. None of this is a huge deal, I just wish I was provided with the traditional syrup flavoring instead of hard caramel.

As far as Panera’s go, this is by far the worst in Columbus. Cold soup, terrible service during return of soup. Condescending rude manager, list goes on. Probably multiple healthcode violations in one order. Seems to be a theme here in the reviews with terrible management and poor food quality.

Another visit to Panera, another fail. Not sure why we try with this place anymore. Asked what ingredients they were out of (for those not familiar with the clown operation at Panera, they are always out of at least one ingredient). Tonight I was told only romaine but apparently that meant all lettuce since our arugula was missing. I’d avoid this location and in fact all Paneras altogether.

Needs new management. Three weeks ago we stopped in for some soup. After we ordered sat down and waited for our food, they call us up and said they were out of soup. It was only 6pm. The manager stated the staff just did not start or cook another batch (probably didn’t want to do the dishes). So we left.

I used to go to Panera with some regularity but slowly stopped going because a lot of the items seem microwaved and not fresh or high quality. I hadn’t ordered ordered food from Panera in a couple years but saw they had new menu items so decided to give it another try. I ordered for me and my brothers and waited about 15 minutes for the food. The items appeared correct in the bag but when I got home and opened it my order was completely wrong and not something I like. I ordered a hot sandwich with chicken and was given a cold vegetarian sandwich. Oh, and they didn’t offer me a receipt or put one in the bag either, so it would tough to get a refund or anything.
