So so so slow and even after waiting in the drive-thru for 15 minutes behind only two cars in front of me…when I got to the window I was completely ignored for another 5 minutes. I understand if they’re busy but somebody could at least acknowledge that something is being done with the order or they could have given me my drink while I was waiting. Hilltop, Virginia Beach. I was there yesterday. Standing before the cashier, I asked her politely if she could explain to me how the two-meal items meal works. I knew there was soup and sandwich, but I did not know there was macaroni and cheese and soup. She said nothing. She stared at her computer. I asked her again. I asked her again, but in a different way. Maybe she hadn’t understood what I was saying. Finally, she deigned to talk to me and all she said was do you want the macaroni and the soup? I said, yes, and do you wanna drink she asked . I said yes. The bill came to $15. My two for meal suddenly became two separate meals. Six dollars for a bowl of macaroni, six dollars for a bowl of soup. My friend had a sandwich and a bowl of soup and I believe she paid about $7.50 for it.

**The three stars are for the warm bowls & the ability to customize**There’s very few gluten free options, vegetarian options are so limited. Grilled sandwiches are NOT grilled. Microwave is nasty. The manager is always nice. Very few other employees speak to customers. The worst is the absolutely disgusting carpet–the odors in the carpet and the bathroom make you want to throw up. Sanitation throughout is minimal and people come in and just grab everything, don’t use sanitizer or wash hands.

Best customer service experience in VA Beach! Especially grateful for the General Manager named Zach. He went above and beyond to make things right after a disappointing experience from the previous day. During my vacation stay, each day I would drive about 4 miles from the VA Beach oceanfront to Panera Bread to enjoy a delicious pastry and a hot latte because Panera Bread provides an entirely different experience and a higher quality of food, as compared to Starbucks and others. Kudos to Zach for getting the latte machine repaired so quickly AND for making every single one of his customers feel genuinely valued.

This place has quickly gone down hill, they often get orders wrong. We are always hopeful and try to order again thinking it was busy or something mixed up but the only consistency they have is their orders being wrong. Panera sets some high standards for their food and customer service this place does not even come close. Attached are pictures of my chicken salad sandwich which was just chicken strips, it did have an abundance of almond dust and a few grapes but this was not the sandwich that I ordered for delivery. I just wish they would have called me to say that they didn’t have the mixture and to pick a different sandwich instead of putting together this sad Frankenstein of a monster sandwich.

Last ordered delivery in January. Now they are using door dash so the fee is higher. Slightly annoying but I am ordered because I am in a rush for lunch. Doordash was prompt -5/5 stars for the driver. Unfortunately, my order was not customized like I requested. Puzzled because my order was partially modified — the cheese was changed on my sandwich but the red onions and frizzled onions were left on and no cilantro was added. I have always used the online app to place orders so my customizations are clear (no onions is a pretty common request) for rapid pick up or delivery. Now I don’t trust this location to make any changes. Very disappointed.
