A kiosk with a few touch screens for patrons to punch in their orders was a bit user unfriendly to us, with so many pages and choices for add-ons or things that come with your meal. We found spending over five minutes to place two orders a bit cumbersome. Maybe we prefer actual wait staff that just asks us what we want off the menu. Or, maybe you can order at their counter and skip the kiosk, but we did not see anyone there except for the person who puts out your tray once your food has been prepared and your purchase has been sent to the kitchen. Choosing a simple drink or muffin must speed up the time with the touch screen.
That said, both of our sandwiches were very good. My partner’s was hot. He had the smoky buffalo chicken melt baguette which he added spinach, frizzled onions and chipotle sauce in addition to the hot sauce that’s a component of this sandwich. He wanted red onion, too, but the computer said they were out of this ingredient.
My lobster salad on a New England style bun was cold. I did not expect it to be as these rolls are usually served warm. I selected it as is with no additions. Full of fresh lobster and some lettuce, cooked perfectly, it is an impressive sandwich.
We chose the fruit cup for our free add-on to the meal. It was fresh with a good variety of fruit: pineapple, strawberries, blueberries and cantaloupe. The Madagascar vanilla latte we shared was really delicious. Creamy, warm and the right amount of sweetness. No need for dessert with this coffee but Panera’s has always had a fine selection from chocolate croissants to lemon drop cookies along with muffins and scones.
get what they forgot, was compensated one cookie. Last time they forgot something I was given the entire bakery. (Exaggeration) .. and you can’t call to get in touch with a human .. which I’m glad they didn’t give me hard time about the missing item by the time I returned.
I wanted to do a nice treat for my son so I took him here and ordered a Mac and cheese with bread. They are out of bread. It’s in the name so that’s disappointing but ok. They say they can do a fruit cup instead but then my bill was higher so I guess I got upcharged. Whatever.
We sit and wait and I hear my first name called. I go and see a bowl of tomato soup. Assume there are two people with my common first name so I wait more. After nothing else appears, I ask the worker. He thrusts the paper in my face and says “it says tomato soup.” I tell him that’s great but I didn’t order tomato soup. He says well that’s what you got.
Great.
I go to the front register and they tell me they will get a Mac and cheese for me.
About 10 minutes later, my son now well over our fun outing and I get this bowl of goop delivered to me. Half the bowl was a giant wad of cheese.
10 dollars and I end up waiting 40 minutes for a barely edible glob. Definitely going elsewhere next time.
