We had the worst experience with the cashier today. I ordered two Asiago bagels with cream cheese and waited quite a while for them. When we received the bag the bagels were just thrown in there among the cream cheese containers exposed to the germs she had touched. They weren’t wrapped at all. She touches money which is highly contaminated and then thinks it’s okay to prepare our bagels. When I went back to her she was extremely rude and told me that not every Panera is the same and how if I really had a problem with the bagels being exposed to germs that I should just work there and do it myself, that’s when I asked to speak to the manager and she lied claiming she was the manager. Her name was CALLIE or KELLY. The cooks who made my daughters sandwich were great however but sadly the so called manager working there is unprofessional and rude.

The self-service kiosk is really good. My order was ready within minutes. It’s a big space with a lot of seats and booths. I was there on Friday evening and it was not too crowded. The staff was really nice. The cleaning service was constantly looking around so the place is really clean.

Manager is super rude and unfriendly and very hostile and shamed us for taking too many napkins. My friends and I were there studying quietly and spent $50+ on coffee and cookies, but we were asked to leave after an hour there because “it wasn’t a library.” Lemonade is fire tho 🙂

Panera is one of my favorite places to eat. I just recently found out there was this one in Porter Sq. Needless to say, I’ve been a very happy camper! It’s not without a few drawbacks though. Seating is confusing, I have trouble with stairs and it’s not always easy to snag a table upstairs. They also don’t have any outdoor tables which I was a little sad about when I brought my dog one day. I’ve ordered and had stuff brought to my car and the orders have always been right. I think they should be harsher on making sure people are adhering to the 45min rule of staying at the tables on the top floor, on a busy day. Overall makes me feel like I’m at my favorite shopping center from where I grew up!

I have frequent this Panera over the last year. The service has been questionable. But upon my last visit, a manager who I’ve never seen before, named “Sean”, threat throw me out if I didn’t purchase something less than 2 minutes after entering the store and sitting down. That’s a person of color, it’s kind of selective treatment is not inducive to make want to spend my money in a place of business so uninviting. Several minutes later, Sean approached me again, leaned into my face, and t threatened with police action. So I decided to wait for the intervention of Cambridge Police.

Bathroom is downstairs. There is an elevator though. Customer service was satisfactory. Not rude at all but not super freindly Bathroom was not dirty per se,but had been neglected. No toilet paper in the mens. Used the self serve checkout . Grabbed a pager for the order. Turned out didnt need it as they just yell your name out. That keeps going. So atmosphere kinda disturbed. Ordered the Chipotle chicken avocado. Not impressed. Sandwich was mostly bread, barely filled. Tasted fine. Pic was my wife’s sandwich, after she ripped off the crust. So you can see the sandwich is not very filled.

I come here often, pay for the Panera membership and still continue to get treated poorly at this location. As a nursing student, finding somewhere quiet with tasty food is obviously a win, win. I often choose the porter sq location as it has the latest hours, and my school library closes at 7. On two separate occasions workers have shut lights off while studying and put chairs up WAY before close. The attitude the workers have has really made me dread studying here. I hope they can one day hire staff that actually like their job. If anyone is looking for a better location, I promise my experience at Arsenal Yards is considerably better although the hours are shorter.

I had an unexpectedly positive experience! I rarely go out to eat because I have serious allergies to wheat and soy, and I’m vegetarian too. (Today however was a special occasion due to a visiting family member.) When we arrived, Kelly at the register was able to tell me which foods were safe for me to eat (I went with the Mediterranean bowl, pretty tasty), and Cathy (or Caterina), who was working in the kitchen, was able to check my order for me and make sure that it was made without any cross-contamination. Overall the service was great, and I didn’t get sick. Thanks to both of you!

LITERALLY had the most disgusting Iced Chai Latte of my life here, like that latte was way too spicy if you know what I mean for fellow chai lovers, and it was honestly undrinkable, I asked for a new drink because the one I had was just absolutely disgusting I got a large btw, the manager needs a damn happy pill or something cause she seems miserable was on her phone the whole time literally just having a full on conversation barley paying attention to what she’s putting in the drink I’m watching her, and then she thinks I’m lying when I say the drink is undrinkable, like it’s veryyy bad, she was offended I mean who wouldn’t be but in other pictures I’ve seen and my experiences with iced chai lattes is that they are very creamy but mine from here had like black stuff on the bottom, anyways she did not believe me and I told her hey girl I have no germs literally try it yourself and she was like fine what do you want I then replaced my drink with a frozen strawberry lemonade and she gave me a small like really this place needs to hire a new damn manager you literally suck get a job you enjoy.
