I was visiting frequently before my dad was transferred to a hospice center. I wish I could remember the cashier’s name who helped me. She was always SO KIND and put a huge smile on my face, having no idea what I was going through. The rest of the staff is great too. The food always came out quickly and it was delicious.

***********WARNING UNSANITARY CONDITIONS PROCEED WITH CAUTION*****
I just visited this location on 7/5/24 inside BILH Shapiro Building, as I waited in line, I noticed a strange look on the customer before me face and then I saw what she saw, fruit flies flying and buzzing over the bakery goods on display, I was thinking that’s for show only, there’s no way they’re selling to the public, especially in a hospital setting, customer before me ordered her drink and then I ordered an oatmeal cookie and sure enough Panera’s representative went to grab it from the bakery goods on display. I stopped her immediately asked for manager, manager told me that “this is common practice for them to sell food when fruit flies land on them, and that customer has a choice and they can’t control fruit flies.” I was disgusted and appalled because I actually loved Panera Bread, frequent customer, but after this experience, Never again! I know some are ok with any food after bugs land, play, and defecate on them, I rather not.
The Manager of this location needs to be fired, she’s training other employees of this unsanitary practices. I contacted Panera Bread, put in a complaint, awaiting a response and the Agent made it clear that This Is Not Panera Bread practices. I’m hoping this gets resolved and thanks for technology it’s all on camera on behalf Panera and pray this goes doesn’t go unheard….I see a lawsuit in the works for anyone who may become ill. I’m easy to find and I will testify with my testimony. I will be contacting the Board of Health and the BBB as well.

So happy with Panera at BIDMC! It’s great to have a late night food option for staff. They are always super nice and always work efficiently. Wait times are very quick. Everybody is raving about it being there here and the sip club is great 🙂
