I ordered a chicken dish and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, flavorful, and served in a generous portion. You’ll definitely leave full. I also had a margarita on the rocks, and it was perfectly made.
The decor and ambience are beautiful, filled with well‑maintained live plants, and since we visited during the holidays, the Christmas decorations made it even more charming.
The staff was outstanding. They were professional, friendly, and very attentive. When they noticed my husband wasn’t eating much, they even offered to bring him an entirely different meal. That level of care was amazing.
We would absolutely return the next time we’re in the area. Parking is available on the street meter or via valet.
A plus that the restaurant is a walk away from the beach so after your meal you can enjoy a nice stroll and beautiful views.
This one is so cute. There is so much to look at inside. It is always clean and can get crowded. I don’t know if they take reservations. This time we got food to go and all of it was great.
What really stands out is their guacamole. It is thick and loaded with avocado and always fresh. Their tacos are wonderful and there is not a burrito you will not love–but I get the sour cream on the side. Their rice and beans are tasty and they make their own tortillas. To me, that is a big deal.
They have a great happy hour. Their margaritas are so good–I order mine without salt, but you do you.
The prices are fair for what you get.
I think you will be happy here.
Service pleasant, polite, and efficient.
I veered from my standard taco/enchilada combo and ordered shrimp and mango tacos. It was delicious and perfect after the work day. The classic margarita on the rocks completed the meal (note the empty glass in the photo lol).
The beach is three blocks away. Great for a walk after. Street parking or valet parking available.
Very nice spot with lots of history, great food and friendly people. $6 to Valet park though on a weekday afternoon was a bit much. Not the friendliest valet either.
I must review the food and other things that should have been taken care of before opening the business on this day. We arrived at 11 a.m., and the business opened at 10 a.m., we sat down at our table (not balance, and it moved or tilted with the slightest pressure) it made our brunch very uncomfortable and unsafe. I noticed the plate dishes as they were being delivered, and lots of plate with rice and beans were spilled over onto the tray, this made the presentation pretty bad, although very tasty food the presentation very poorly executed.
But, to start off our order, I noticed that when I was flipping the menu, browsing I noticed that our menus were dirty with tomato sauce stains and easy quick clean with a cloth could of done it, the restaurant was not busy at this particular time, when we checked in, the host was just standing, doing nothing, as previous experience I would of taken this time to check every menu for stains and what not, clean them.
Obviously, today was not the case. Not just mine, the menu was dirty, but my mom’s menu was as well.
Mu coffee mug had a chip on the top edge where it’s easily seen by anyone. (Doesn’t management see these things??)
On the positive side, our server was nice and professional, somewhat a comedian. We customers love that kind of attention while dining. Good job, Sam!
Overall all, our experience was 70 over 100, and I think the restaurant can do better.
The margarita was perfectly balanced: just enough heat, not overly sweet, with a tajin rim that added the right kind of kick. The tacos? Absolutely incredible. The shrimp was full of flavor, and the contrast of the crunchy puffy shell with the rice and beans made every bite satisfying. One of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a while.
The atmosphere was just as perfect natural light, lush plants everywhere… it felt like I was dining in a garden. Peaceful, cozy, and beautiful.
To top it all off, I ended the night with a walk on Manhattan Beach just a few blocks away. It was the perfect Friday.
Can’t wait to come back—especially for those tacos.
