This was our first time eating at plan B, but I assure you, it won’t be our last. We started out with the jalapeño poppers, they were amazing. A little spice, and the sauce was fantastic.

For our burgers I got the Diablo. It was good, not terribly hot, but a solid burger. Our server brought some buffalo sauce to help spice it up a bit.

My honey had the bacon cheeseburger, it was good as well. It’s a large, thick patty, whereas the Diablo is a double smash burger. Both were great.

I had the fancy fries, if you like shoestrings, they were spot on. My honey had the hand cut fries, they were the only down side. They were decent, but they were exceptionally greasy and limp.

Plan B has a great atmosphere in a cool old building with a friendly staff. The first time I ate here a few years ago it was really good. Unfortunately the last few times the food has been really mediocre bc it’s either luke warm or borderline cold. The flavor was good but they need to figure out temperature. Every table around us had the same issue of cold food. Hopefully they get the temperature sorted and it gets back to it’s best

We decided to dine here – as we’ve been previously. We were sat downstairs it was dirty, cold, and there was garbage on the ground. We ordered nachos they came out ice cold. There were 6 of us, 3 of us got our food then 10 minutes later the other 3 got their food. Never once have I been to a restaurant where my friends are done with their food before I get mine. We asked for our burgers with pink they came out cold dry and well done. I will not return and am beyond disappointed that I visited here. This is known as a “burger place” yet a burger can’t even be cooked correctly.

Wife and I went here for the first time on a Saturday night. There was only one other couple in the place so it was pretty empty. The food subpar, where my wife ended up getting sick later that night from her veggie burger – tater tots were good. I had boneless wings which were ok, along with a cesar salad which was pretty soggy.. Service was pleasant and ok. Ordered an old fashion that tasted just like syrup but drinkable. Overall, not exactly what we expected, but not the worst we have had.

What a fun place to eat! Great food, nice atmosphere in a former train station and TVs tuned into sports.

This was my first time visiting, and came with my 6 year old son. We both enjoyed the experience. I started with the jalapeño poppers, which were tasty but not hot. The Shepards pie can steaming hot in a skillet. Also quite tasty but not as highly seasoned as some places, allowing the natural flavor of the beef to be accented (it us a hamburger place after all). The kids grilled cheese and tater tots were well received. The kid’s sundae was delicious and a more generous portion than many places.

The restaurant was buzzing and packed throughout our entire stay. Still it wasn’t loud and we were able to carry on a conversation.

The service was excellent as well.

We enjoyed our visit to Plan B and look forward to our next visit.

From the hostess, to the waitress, to the manager, Plan B was the perfect place for great food that is also gluten free!

I’m definitely a huge fan of Plan B restaurants!

There are 7 locations. This one in Simsbury is located in an old train station. If you know me, you know I love history and architecture; well, this is located in a historic building, love when they reclaim a building. There is a first floor and a basement. We dined in on the first floor. There was plenty of parking around the building.

They have trivia night every Tuesday and karaoke the second Thursday every month. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We placed our food order in and he put in our toddler’s meal through first (without our request) and brought it out before our food; that was very thoughtful and observant, since our son was hungry. My son had the chicken tenders and fries.

I had the B Berry drink in their Glastonbury location and loved it so I had to get it again. It is a house-made blueberry infused Deep Eddy Vodka. I also had a prickly pear margarita which was decent and sour; it has El Charro Tequila, orange liqueur, house made sour mix, and prickly pear syrup. I definitely liked the B Berry drink better.

This time around I got the El Diablo smash burger; this came with two smash patties, pepper jack cheese, shaved lettuce, jalapenos, chipotle ranch, and pic de Gallo, that was bomb diggity. It also comes with a side which I opted for tater tots (my favorite). The food and drinks came out at a good timeframe. My family and I enjoyed our dining experience; the food, service, and drinks were good. We look forward to going back!

My family have been going to Plan B in Simsbury for many years. It is icon in Simsbury located in the old railroad station building. The food is always yummy and I always appreciate the many gluten-free options they offer, including fish and chips. My husband appreciates the craft beer options and the cocktails are always very tasty. Service is usually very good. Occasionally they have a new staff member or a problem or two in the kitchen, but that’s going to happen from time to time at a restaurant.
But here’s the thing…the place is getting run down. And, worse, it is dirty. Sometimes sitting at a booth I can see the thick accumulated dust on the blinds and on the window sills. Some of the leather seats are in need of repair (from my memory). To be honest, we haven’t been there in months because the last time we were there, I said, “No More.” The bathrooms downstairs are gross! It stinks like hell down there. I just can’t anymore. I am surprised that something hasn’t been done about those basement bathrooms. And clean, man. That’s easy!
I was sorry to hear they shut down West Hartford because that has been our go-to in these last many months. Hope this review causes the management/owners to take notice.

I’ve only gotten take out before, and things were alright. Tried dining in tonight, and it was abhorrent. Clearly they prioritize online orders over people at the actual establishment.
A waiter and the hostess debated whether or not they were going to wash the table before seating is to it. Not a good start.

After 45+ minutes from our order being put in, no check in or word from the waitress. Actively avoided my gaze. Different staff tried to make up for the absurd wait by giving us a cold appetizer. Food took over an hour to come out, the egg in my burger was both burnt and had raw whites, and there was a hair in my fries, which were also stone cold.

“Oh, so other local businesses have closed recently, and we just hired a lot of those people. We haven’t really had an opportunity to train them properly, so they’re being trained on the fly.” Gee, I wonder why they closed?

Never coming back, or ordering take out again.

The food was just ok. The waiter seemed new but tried his best. The kitchen didn’t make him aware it was out of a menu item I wanted. It also seemed like no one took the time to train him properly. The atmosphere was quiet and cozy.
