The Simple Travels
Timing may be everything. Some posts/reviews are not as favorable of Pan y Vino because of the wait and/or food, but we have yet to have a poor experience after several visits. Yes, the wait may be long, but if you read this review, try to plan ahead and get there early or try to make a reservation. Regardless of the wait, the food has been very good each time. You should certainly give them a visit at least once.

Very charming and ambient place. Pizza and sangria are the best in Dunedin. All appetizers come with fresh baked bread. It’s gorgeous!

Great food and wine, great atmosphere. The caprese salad is very fresh and they have a wide selection of wines. The pizza is made fresh in a stone oven, and the atmosphere is very nice. Overall a great place to sit down and have a pizza.

Besides the atmosphere being very nice and the wines, I would not recommend the pizza by a stretch. The cheese is very poor quality. We could have spent the money better elsewhere.

Very good pizza and friendly staff! They have a variety of pizza options and a nice size for sharing. Their salads are also large and delicious. My one complaint is that they offered to split one of the pizzas with margherita on one half and 4 cheese on the other, which was great, but then charged $2 for that without telling us. Overall, great food and nice experience!

I think they must have switched owners. The food was completely different. The pizza dough used to be one of the best. Crunchy and fluffy at the same time. Last night was soggy and pan style. It looked like they put taco salsa on the margarita instead of tomatoes. Even the service was not good. I would go to Christinos or Even Tonys near by if you want better.

I say Bravo. At first glance I wasn’t sure if I wanted to stay. I used the restroom first thing and it was a small, one occupant restroom. Old looking also. Not dirty, just not updated in any way. But once I starting eating, I totally forgot about the unattractive restroom. My wife and I shared an appetizer with shrimp in a spicy sauce accompanied with 8 or so slices of bread. A bit too spicy for my wife but she still liked it. I loved it. Then we shared a pizza with Spanish meatballs and ricotta. Absolutely delicious. The crust was even delicious. For dessert we had tiramisu, which I was told was made in house. We took it home. My wife said three times it’s really good. And it was. We are very happy this place is in our little town and so close to home. I almost went to go compliment whoever made my food. That’s how much we enjoyed this pizza. It was a crispy, cheesy, gourmet pizza. Period. Thanks again.

Cute place. Good pizza (I think the best around). Good selection of wines. Friendly staff. The pizza crust was thin, nicely chewy at the edge, and with a good amount of toppings. When we want more than just takeout pizza, this is where we go (and of course this where we do takeout, too)

Atmosphere is cozy and really nice . Service was prompt, knowledgeable and excellent. Food was not good. Soup was cafeteria quality. Pizza dough is thick and tasted like high end frozen pizza. Homemade mozzarella was good. If you like the place as a whole I can understand but if you’re looking for pizza this is not the place. Get some NY pizza guy down and train you on how to make dough and pizza.
