Alright… this place kind of blew me away. I was not expecting this place to be SO good and I’ve never been so happy to be proven wrong. Here we go on the breakdown!
1.) Food: The food I have was absolutely incredible. As far as Fast Casual burgers go, this takes the top spot! WAY better than five guys. The only thing that I found weird was you HAD to order your burger with cheese and not say “with everything on it”. You specifically had to mention the cheese. So for all my southern folks, SAY YOU WANT A CHEESEBURGER.
2.) Service: The service was fast and friendly! They gave great recommendations if you have never been there before. I understand that the customer is supposed to say if they want cheese; however, I would just have them ask the customer if they wanted cheese on it too if they specifically said “everything on the burger”.
3.) Atmosphere: I think this original location is the best looking one. I wish they were all like this, but, alas, they are not. Still such a cool place!
Overall, my work conference that lead me here to Kingsport, TN was very fruitful as I had one of the best fast casual burgers I’ve had. 10/10 would recommend!

Every time we are in Kingsport we make it a point to stop here for a burger. The food is delicious and this location evokes a bit of nostalgia that I enjoy. It takes me back to simpler times. A drive up burger stand with great food and outdoor seating, it just doesn’t get any better.

Big Pal with cheese and bacon was outstanding! The Frenchie Fries were salted and seasoned perfectly as well! I have had Pals at other locations and was never really impressed with it until now. It is a bit on the expensive side though for fast food.

My office is here several times a month, and every single time my order is always wrong. I asked for the big chicken plain no cheese. Every single time it has cheese on it. I understand people make mistakes. I’ve been in food service over half my life so I know how easy it is. I would just like for one time for them to get it right. How hard is it to not put on cheese?

They don’t have these where I’m from in South Carolina that I’m aware of, but I wish they did. This is an excellent place to get a really good old fashioned cheeseburger. I got the big pal with cheese, small fry and a large tea and it was fantastic. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and really well seasoned. You just cannot be the quality for the price. It was incredibly quick service even though there was a huge line of people waiting.
