Excellent food & service! This place is a like a beehive. Everyone works together and never in each other’s way.
As soon as the waitress directed us to our table, our server came and took our drink order.
Drinks were out quickly and the food was out quick and hot.
I had the smoked Salmon Benedict
Hash Browns with grilled tomatoes, grilled onions & jalapeño peppers. Cooked perfectly.
The next day I ordered the New York Strip medium, with grilled onions and mushroom 3 eggs. The food and service is outstanding!
Portion size is huge. Worth the money we spent.
Definitely will be visiting again.

This place is absolutely FABULOUS!!! I visited for the first time this past weekend on a trip with my mom and sister and we came across some reviews about this place so we decided to try for breakfast before heading to the beach. EXCELLENT SERVICE! FANTASTIC CAFE ENERGY! And most importantly GREAT FOOD! The friendly atmosphere and efficient staff service are just as good as the amazing food—- the biscuits OMG! BANANA RUM pancakes!!! We came back every morning 3 days in a row as we couldn’t get enough of this place to start our day before embarking on our Hilton head activities for the day. Anyone who doesn’t enjoy this place and their food must not be a real person because this place and staff ROCK!!! Thank you Palmetto Bay Sunrise cafe for feeding us very well

Can’t imagine them making anything bad. 10/10! And appreciate the laid back atmosphere. Staff were super friendly to my three year old. Took our order immediately. Food was hot and delicious.

We tried venturing away from our breakfast staple at plantation Cafe for new a breakfast experience. We were very disappointed and confused. Because of the high rating we really thought this was going to be a great experience. Even though the staff was great, the food was not. This is the first time that I did not finish my shrimp and grits in the history of ordering them. They came out slightly warm but because they were served on plate spread thinly they became cold quickly. The gravy was not red-eye gravy but brown gravy. Also I never knew that you can undercook over easy eggs. It looked like water was running out of them. The shrimp was small and unremarkable. The chicken, poached egg and biscuit with sausage gravy was Bland, was not hot and the chicken was dry and overcooked. Also the noise level was way too much for us. Needless to say we will not be returning

We ordered typical breakfast and lunch dishes. We were four people and hadn’t seen each other in a while. We spent a few minutes talking to each other and getting reacquainted and different servers Kept coming to our table repeatedly every couple of minutes pressuring us to place our order. Once we decided on our order, they brought the food out and kept coming back asking if we want anything else which was nice at first until they kept coming over. The attitude was not friendly, but was very sassy and they thought it was cute, but it was actually quite rude. They pride themselves on being sassy, but I don’t think that is an appropriate way to welcome patrons to your restaurant. You should be patient and polite, not demanding and pushy. The food was OK and it was just enough. But, the service and the rude behavior really damp end the experience and our meal. I could tell that they wanted us to just eat and leave. They did not realize that we wanted to sit and chat for a while and since there were plenty of empty tables, I didn’t see why that would be an issue. Normally, I like to leave 25% Or more as a tip because I know that servers work very hard and are on their feet all day. This time we left 15% and honestly, when I left, I felt like that was too much.

Lunch on the porch. I got the vegetable sandwich with pea salad, the sandwich was very good, the pea salad was bland. Friend got the fried fish and shrimp, they were lightly breaded and came with fries, she enjoyed them. First time here and they we’re remolding another restaurant under the same roof, so there were lots of building supplies laying around. I hope they remodel the bathrooms, they were very dirty and old.
