If you’re on the hunt for authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, Palmas is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of trying their chicharrón en chile rojo, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The dish brought the perfect balance of spice and flavor—just enough heat to make your taste buds dance without overwhelming them. Every bite was rich and satisfying, showcasing the depth of their traditional red chili sauce.
What truly elevated the experience were the handmade flour and corn tortillas. Fresh, warm, and slightly charred, they were the ideal accompaniment to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. Handmade tortillas are always a win in my book, and Palmas nailed them.
The welcoming atmosphere and dedication to authentic flavors make this spot a standout. If you’re a fan of Mexican cuisine with a spicy kick, don’t miss out on Palmas’ chicharrón en chile rojo. It’s a dish worth savoring.

The good was delicious, the place was spacious, the coffee was hot And tasty and the waitress was very Courteous and attentive. I really enjoyed coming here for lunch with my co-worker. This was a hidden nook & cranny! The best part, believe it or not was how clean And organized the bathroom was. You know what they say, if you want to know the truth about a restaurant’s kitchen, spend time in their bathroom! Loved this place And plan on coming back for sure!

This place is amazing! This is my first time ordering a huarache and I absolutely loved it. The homemade tortillas are delicious. Pictured is a two person mocajete. The staff was really kind and accommodating of food restrictions. Would definitely come back again!

We came to visit. We stopped here for lunch. For the price, the food tasted okay. The “molcajete”-a dish of carne asada, chicken, and chorizo accentuated with cactus, grilled onions and red sauce-was served hot. It experience was complemented by the great waitress and her great personality. That’s why I reviewed this as a three star experience! Some of the meat seemed reheated. I sense because I’ll eat anything, I still found the meal quite tasty. My fiancee and I fashioned approximately six tacos out of all that was served. An upsetting fact was there was only one order of home made corn tortillas (3) served with the dish. It cost about $27. I thought it was a bit pricey.

Pros: food is flavorful and decent menu options. Cons: for how many people they had working there, it took forever to get service or refills. Also. It’s pricey for what you get: $20 for enchiladas is already bold, but at least fill up the plate.

Always been a big fan of Palmas Restaurant, though over the years the burritos have gotten alot smaller. Still a huge fan of the food regardless.

First time going to this restaurant, unfortunately not enough effort is put in to their food. As other reviews have stated the price does not reflect the quality nor the flavor.

I’ve never had a bad meal there. EVER. I love the burritos, breaded shrimp platter comes with incredible homemade tortillas, love the taco salads(yes they will combine shrimp, beef and chicken if you ask) and I found a great shrimp cocktail, as good as mine. The staff are fast and friendly! Especially the server (sorry I keep forgetting your name. She works SO hard and always with a smile.

My food was salty and the sauce was too spicy to enjoy. And I agree with some of the reviews stating that the food is overpriced. My partner’s Shrimp cocktail had good flavor, but it had minimal shrimp. The customer service was good.
